Finally the weather cooperated and we were able to shoot some video.... first up is the Clocked Keep-off 4........ running it on the orange Nitro-Mizer insert, 9886,41001......very nice running engine... tons of power even on a slightly rich tune......

Round 3 of the Minnesota Off Road Series was last weekend.
Josh was able to put his Clocked Team P5XLT equipped Mugen on the pole. Blew out both brand new clutch bearings at the 7 minute mark while in the lead.

Qualified 2nd in Truggy, Clocked Bonito in the Mugen Truggy. After the issues in buggy, Josh was on a mission, battled with young Seth VanDalen for about 20 minutes as he built a 8 second lead, on final pit stop Seth, had a glow plug fail. Josh finished 2 laps up on the field after 30 minutes. The Bonito ran flawless and has all the power you can ever need. Just might have to try one in the buggy, Neal, John and Nick will confirm on how hard Josh likes to drive and how much power he likes in his vehicles.

Have anyone ever lost a backplate screw on a Novarossi before? I have done it now, twice.... on the same engine. Ok, so it should not be a problem, but enigne has taken in dirt. My airfilters looks great, but there are some smallmarks on the crank that says it has taken in dirt from the carbside.


But question is, have anyone ever found loosing a backplate screw, make engine ingest dirt? and, if it has, it should not have put the dirt inside of the crank, just 3-4mm from the back to the front of the crank. Silicon filler is the crank is clean as New, so it is a bit strange that it have taken in so much dirt that i found, from the carb side. Crank should have been alot more scuffed also, from the amaount of dirt i found. Crankpin has worn Down to 4,94, so this engine has now become a testmule for mods.... #¤%_(%¤#¤, well it has very good compression so i`ll try it one more race.

So a little bit on the Blast V12

1. Same piston/sleeve as a RB C6..... very nice for a engine in this price range !
2. Uses Novarossi sized rod and crankshaft.....So when its time to replace the rod use a Novarossi R7...I like this as Nova rods are more common and usually more affordable
3. Engine has a tungsten slugged crank from factory.... Nice feature for a engine in this price range

The modifications I have done to this engine are targeted to give the engine a a powerband more suited to North American Supercross style of tracks...Stronger, smoother low end response that allows for awesome short run performance... Even on our high bite track the engine effortlessly pushes a truggy around, clearing our triple with just over half throttle.. The fuel mileage is also quite impressive... Early indicators are showing some of the best runtimes we have seen short of a Werks B5......The engine is also quite easy to tune with the short needle carb, the LSN is used only to adjust idle mixture which makes tuning quite straight forward... Another thing to we liked is the engine ran quite well on all the pipes we have tested so far...... The 2058 was awesome, the 2013 was awesome and the 9886 worked awesome...We shot video with the 9901/41001 combo ...which gave us a very 4 stroke feeling powerband down low and a very respectable top end runout....All in all a dam fine engine and a absolute bargain when you consider the engine is pretty much a RB C6........

Sounds kind of lazy on that header/pipe combo....or a tad rich maybe? Smooth power delivery though.

it is anything but lazy , it clears that triple with only half trigger.... The 9901 is just not a loud raspy pipe, but dont let that fool ya, this combo is fast as hell.....as you can see the BL buggy had nothing for this combo, you can see on the triple and on the straight how they stacked up , And that BL is no joke ! .......... And definitely not rich as the runtime was extremely high......

We chose the 9901 pipe because the owner of the truggy is just starting out, so we wanted to have a very smooth power delivery with good low end punch....And this combo delivers just that...electric like smoothness and more torque then you will ever need....Of course the engine is more dynamic on a 9886/2058, but the 9901 was the best choice for this application.....

Easy there tiger....I just prefer them to wind out a little more

9901 ! basically a 3 chamber 9853.....not a top end pipe by any stretch.......put that 9901 on a Bonito and watch how badly it gets neutered ......
