Go-Tech Engines Thread
Adrian, with the 2 needle in a GXII and assuming it's the long lsn needle version and it should tune like your MG66...We found with a idle gap of 0.6-0.7mms the lsn needle should be around 1 turn in from flush, they can loose a bit of low end power if you go too lean on it, I'd start leaning the hsn a bit from flush till you get good power and a bit more as it runs in further..
The fuel line pinch close to the carb at idle is a good test for how lean the lsn is...running on astro I would not run a too early clutch.
Craig.

I am trying to determine if the Sport 15, or 18 side exhaust engines have an exhaust port
that is perpendicular (like the Nova Rossi .12) to the crank shaft, or if it has the exhaust
port canted 45 degrees (like the OS .15) from perpendicular?
Thanks

I saw in a thread where a friend or someone local to you asked you "if you have ever even got your truggy to a track"????..
Hit the Track dewd...And get to know your Truggy and engine...Its way more fun trying to Win on the weekends and hanging with your friends at the track than trying to ask the most obscure question on the internet or some how prove to strangers just how much you might know about nitro engines...
Get to the track and have some damn fun...
The Go made Alturn and Trackstar engines I have been selling have awesome power for the $. Here is video of the Race prepped version.

Yes we have a lot more scope with engines these days
new site is up , still more things to put on there but its a work in progress.
and some news
Please note till end July we are charging flat rate shipping world wide on all engines ! $12
and some awesome news ! The MG66 was used in Tether Car Australian National titles and WON !
over 202 KPH 1 . 5 kph off the world record !
Many thanks to Scott Clysdale for his efforts and driving the victory !
This is the second year in a row he has won the Australian Nats in tether car with the MG66 engine. He noted no modifications were done to the crank , piston or liner , just the crank case and induction.
The original MG66 converted engine was given to Scott by Owen Wuillemin , who sadly passed away a few years ago. So id like to dedicate this victory to Owen who inspired this and of course Scott who further developed and drove the car to victory.
Happy Days
Cheers

The Nitro Addicts Australia (NAA) modified GO Engine piston & sleeves would most likely fit but I think the thickness of the rim around the top of the sleeve is slightly different so it might alter the timing or something. There from the GX series though as well, just modified.

the MG and Zilla PRS set will work in the GXII , if you get one tell us you are using it for the GXII and we give you a raiser ring to make the lip the same thickness. Its an improvement over the GX in terms of performance and economy.

So with my GX5 engine, I just went from a OS3 needle carb that was flaky to a Gen 6 3 needle Amain was clearing out. Any suggestion on initial setting? Engine has a couple of gallons on it, so no break in to be done. Thanks guys.
