As a side note, would it worth it to lube orings in carb. I've been using Dow 55 oring lube, as it causes a slight swelling of rings to keep a good seal.

Hi everybody!

do you tune older GO engines (3 ports/composite and alu carb/blue head) the same way as you do with newer GX engines?

Thanks

Guys,

As some of you may know, im attached to GO Engines since almost the beggining of their life.

So, im very sad that GO didnt went well adminitrated in USA and other countries by their distributors and, in some cases, the factory (we need to be honest). Right now the factory is working on amazing projects and current lineup is strong and great quality.

Ive been talking with the factory and im authorized to act as global distributor to any country withou GO presence now ... so, please, if you know any dealer that wants to work with the brand in your countries, please drop me an email to [email protected] and for sure we will work out a schemma for delivering all the GO power to your customers.

Have a nice GO day guys !!, GO IS COMING BACK !! (or arriving when never was ),

regards,

Patricio "Pato" Concha

There's a guy on here by the name of "motomatt", he was a dealer for GO here in the US before Trey sold out to AMain hobbies. He wanted the GO USA account but wasn't given the chance....he may still be interested, you should drop him a line and see if he wants to carry the GO line again

Bobby, no. They quit selling go because Simon was charging too much for the product, as compared to other brands of equal and greater quality/performance.

As for me, I "sold out" due to the same reason, I'm addition to the factory not standing behind their issues. Ex. I ended up pulling apart new engines to find that metal shavings were found inside the sleeve, after the machining process. This was inexcusable. In addition, the factory would only send me replacements with the next order. So, I'd have to dip into inventory (and revenue) for customer sat.

Furthermore, after speaking with Ed bridges about the issues he was having with the JL-branded line, I'd had enough.

Needless to say, unless Go makes some serious changes in distributor support, quality control, and metallurgy, they're never going to compete with the likes of nova, OS, Star, or even arrow.

If you want a decent priced motor that won't fail you, talk to Monty Houston about fusion or Ron with Werks.

I've had nothing but good experience with Go, and you still see plenty of GXII's around, doing well.. I'd buy one if the price were right.. True - it rarely is compared to the competition like RB Blasts, Alphas, et al, so that is the only reason I haven't had one yet... I have no reservations whatsoever about quality or performance though.

We had a good run down here in NZ with GO for many years watching the brand inprove from the gen5 up the the GXII but of late the company has gone off on a different tangent with "sport motors" and trying to develop ringed piston for .21 motors, plus they decided to drop their sponsored driver (me) saying they were not supporting any drivers this year, Pato you seem to be the exception.

drivers look to an engine company who do "race motors" to be continuely ungrading and improving the line each few years in both performance and quality, once that development stops or comes into question drivers will look elsewere and will unlikely run that brand again...cost is another issue, if a better quality motor can be had for not much more $$ your better off paying a little more in the long run.

Hello.I raced nitro about 15 yrs ago with Rossi P-5..I am getting back into the Nitro game again.just purchased a losi 2.0 t and it came with 2 each GO.21 5 port motors. My question is.the motor installed in the truck is used I noticed that the engine block has silver writing on it, the other NIB motor has a all black engine case with NO writing on it..Does this tell me that the NIB motor may have the new carburetor on it?

Thanks Tommy

I agree with most of the points you have made there Trey.
I noticed a distinct drop off in the quality of product from the factory around the time new management was moving into place.
I was an avid supporter / distributor of the GO products before things started to change, but I feel we were let down very badly with the way things were done and managed.

Due to the lack of product and communication from the factory, I have now turned my full focus to the Werks range - which are a brilliant product, with fantastic backing from Ron and his team.
I will give the new and yet totally unproven ringed engine technology a fleeting glance, but to be honest, the damage has been done in the market here.

Tommy, they sound like the older range of motors, post up some pics and we can see what you have.
