not sure if its an engineering issue or what not butttttt not sure did associated switch to softer plastics for theyre ball cups? or re engineer them? or like send out a huge bad batch? bending them and breaking them in half (but not all the way through) lately...

I never have a single issue from the AE cups that come as spares. I do highly recommend the new JC ball cups when available

lol i think the batch that are going on the kits are going into the spares...cause im breaking those too in the same way =( i kinda wanna stick with the ae ones cause i really like them...but im pretty much scared ill break one at a big race or something which would suck

I now use the yokomo ones from the Bmax 4. They are super durable and have a hole at the top so you can unscrew the ball instead of trying to pry the cup off each time you need to take it off.
I broke 2 kit ones on the first day of driving my B4.2. Both were only minor crashes as well.

eh i juss like em cause they pretty much look better to be honest...and the rpm ones are a little too beefy looking also...and i have used the rpm ones in the past and had a little binding before with them....idk just i think this is a huggggeeee issue that needs to be fixed with the car....or the plastics in general...

I dont know if Associated changed their supplier, I do know they have used multiple suppliers for years. Could be there was a bad batch, incorrectly mixed plastic, hard to say. I use to work at an injection molding plant, and it doesnt take much to ruin a batch of parts.

i have 1 set of sc wheels and 2 complete sets of buggy de wheels. each of them have little cracks or a crack in the inside of the wheel. i only use them because thats what my track had at the time.
