I used the ProLine D8T body for testing.

Truggy will be out in fall 2013. No price has been set yet. Thanks.

I noticed you are not running mechanical brakes in the prototype. Are you still planning to recommend mechanical brakes on your ET48 like you do on the rest of your eTruggy conversions?

Looks Awesome BTW!

It depends on the conditions, but right now we're running it the way most people will probably run it (direct drive / motor brake). I am also using a Tekin T8 1900kv buggy motor to kind of stress test the whole system. The driveline is so efficient that this setup had no trouble at all during a 10 minute main (with warm-up, about 80-90 degrees outside).

We used a plastic spur gear. Not sure if you've been to Revelation or not, but it's notoriously hard on vehicles. It is sandy (almost pebbly) if you're off the line, but it's as hard as concrete on the line. This particular layout didn't really have any landers for the jumps. They were almost all flat landers onto concrete-like dirt. Finished the main without a hiccup though. It was a great first test and we'll be heading down to CVRC this weekend for some more running.

Great to hear that the 1900 buggy motor worked out well. This is what I plan on throwing in mine
How was power delivery?

The ET48 was the only truggy hitting the triple consistently. Not sure if I even saw another truggy attempt it . And that was hugging the pipe coming up to it with minimal run-up. Really smooth, but great power. I had my current limiter at 50%.

doesn't the d8t have and odd/sunk in hood where the body mounts? or can you use a normal flat hooded body

That is why we used it. Our front tower is tall and the shocks are huge. The body mounts nestle in between. Not sure flat hooded bodies will work. But obviously we will be making a body and it will be included in the kit. You already have some options though.

At Rev? That's pretty impressive with a 1900kv buggy motor.

I'm able to make that triple fairly consistently with my e-Truggy, but that's with a 2000kv motor and 70C lipo.

I usually run 6s/1550kv or the 1400kv buggy motor. But I wanted something on 4s. I had a 1900 laying around so I threw that in there.

Yeah, it was a blast. eTruggy is so much fun. You can do stuff on the track that no other class can do.

Tekno, do you plan on keeping the 8x14 bearings in the hub carriers and spindles for the Truggy? Personally I would like to see 8x16's especially for the truck.
