Awesome looking kit.
I just might have to get one...even tho there is no place to race it around here. Maybe I'll just run it with the nitros?

Please test-drive the shit out of this car before releasing it. And when you do, make sure to have plenty of durability upgrades available at launch. I would really, really love to finally have something to replace my E-Revo as my main bashing truck. As luck would have it, I'm building an V4 RC8T at the moment, but it's more of a pet project to pass time until proper e-truggies get released. Nitro > Electric conversions simply have too many issues inherent to their design

A thought about the topic of no place to run it.

I think e truggy is a very fun class to run and that when setup right, an electric setup can hang with nitro truggies in longer mains. The main problem people have with regard to poor run time in truggy is massive ammounts of wheel spin. The brutal torque that electric truggy motors deliver often translates into excessive amounts of wheel spin any time a decent amount of throttle is applied. I think that a well trained throttle finger or a motor with a more refined powerband will put the run time right where it needs to be to run with the nitros. The other part of that battle is convincing the closed minded few who look down on electric truggies that it will be beneficial to have more people to race with.

If you use 4S the Tekin 1900 buggy motor should push this beast around just fine.

An RC8Be is only 200Gr lighter so i dont see why not.

The durability of the Tekno SC and buggy is already well established. Great cars and very durable. These cars were released with minimal bugs and durability issues. I would expect the same great quality in their electric truggy

That is not a bad Idea. Maybe ill pick up the new T8i for my EB48 and throw my T8 1900 in the truggy.

Ride height is adjustable, not sure what the optimum (stock) ride height is at this time.

Diffs are 9/40 (4.44:1).

Electric spur is 44t. We recommend a 15t pinion for standard motor/battery combos (i.e. 2250/4s).

Nitro spur is 48. We recommend a 13 or 14t clutch bell for nitro.

Few more questions.

Is the diff housing the same as the Eb48 and sct410? I.e, Will the 44/9 fit in the eb48?

It looks like the ET48 will use the same side guards as the sc410 and Eb48? with the longer can truggy motors, Do you think the Hobbywing 150amp will fit.

Yes, the diff housings or bulkheads are the same. You could run run the truggy gears in the buggy and vice versa. The truggy gears are 40/9 and the buggy's/SC's are 40/10, but you cannot only switch the pinion gear. The ring and pinion gears are sets and will only mesh correctly within their set.

Not sure on the dimensions of that ESC but I know the Novak is quite large and people have fit that in the buggy. I'd search the EB48 thread to see if anyone has tried such a setup. FWIW, as long as the ESC doesn't hang too far over the tray truggy motors were designed to fit in the car.

Thanks for posting that Al. I told Adam and Mike it will probably be the only time I share a podium with them :-). But more to the point, the ET48 was excellent. I was only 8 seconds off of Adam's expert nitro truggy TQ run and this was only my 3rd pack on the new rig. Needless to say I've never been on the same lap as Adam let alone 8 seconds off his pace.

So yeah, the ET48 should be epic! Can't wait.

I think you could maybe use the SCT PRO for it, the EB-48 works great with them. I am running an SCT PRO with the 1800kv motor with an 18 pinion and after a 10 minute main the speedo was temping at 118 and the motor was at 150.
