The T8i is a light weight 1/8 scale motor for indoors or small outdoor tracks. Many may like the feel on large tracks as well due to the smooth bottom end and controllable power. It is about the same length as a T8 but 36mm dia instead of 40mm, 38mm including the fins.
We do not expect it to replace the T8. It is a specific built motor for those that are chasing the light and nimble side of 1/8E instead of raw power and hang on...

Oh well.. Whats the plan with the t8? No one has any in stock. Are you just waiting to send them all out with the new RX8 or are they actually being updated?Mine decided it would fall apart during a race as the 3 inner screws worked loose causing the endbell to fall off. Can't get the buggy going again until I find another motor. I'm wanting to keep it Tekin but just can't find any.

Mine decided it would fall apart during a race as the 3 inner screws worked loose causing the endbell to fall off. Can't get the buggy going again until I find another motor. I'm wanting to keep it Tekin but just can't find any.

Quick question for a tekin rep. I don't see in any of the press releases on the new ESC have to solder posts been reinforced in any way? I've seen more melted RX8's from those breaking at the board mounting and touching each other allowing the special tekin magic smoke to be released then BEC' s going bad.
