imrob: no experience with the overdrive gear as I was using a center diff. However, there have been a few discussions on here about it. You may be able to find the info you are looking for by searching.

From what I recall reading, I believe the main issue was something concerning how it felt down straights. Could be wrong though.

MantisWorx: nice explanation Marcus!

Anybody have a good setup for a loose, outdoor, 1/8 scale track, or point me in the direction of a team driver sheet that will work? I'm not quiet sure where to begin.

shoot me a pm with your email address and I'll send you the final one I settled on. Mind you I do use a few aftermarket parts, but you can work your way from there. One of the items I highly recommend is the m2c rear toe in block since you can get more rear toe to plant the rear end.

i would run this setup or somting like it to stat out with http://www.teamassociated.com/pdf/ca...Flurer_PNB.pdf

#1 start with 50/50 weight front to back. this will make the truck more predictable and easier to drive wend on the slide/drift(in the air and in the turns). then start moving the weight till you get the fell you like. keep in mind the more weight to the rear in % to the front will make the truck accelerate faster + more speed in and out a corner but make it less predictable.

#2 exotek locked front clutch...this give you full time front wheel drive and you adjust your slipper for how much you want the rear to pull. this also make the clutch/motor run cooler

#3 i really dont have a #3 but Cain put m2c rear toe in block. i do not run it but it a nice option to have.

???? has anyone try m2c rear toe in block at -1 anti-squat???? dose it add more grip entering a corner????

FYI: All the Fast guys Cherry refers to in our Northwest have switched to Tekno or Durango. He's slowly becoming more and more alone. Be careful of his desperate nature on this forum. I'm interested in this new hotness he keeps going on about though. (Not the Prolite he went off on about being better before he caved and went back to the sc104x4 pretending nothing happened. =)

Oh, btw. Missed you at the TGH Invitational, Clapped out Cherry. Was hoping to drive through you. =)

I'm such a silly goose...

Good to see some of you still doing well with the truck. I regret selling it some days, but then I go out and drive my new chassis and the regret fades away. =)

We did our best and I was only a little better this weekend... But I was able to take him. Mikey, Tyson, and Gould sure did fantastic with their Non-AE cars. =)

(Harley was great and is going to be something to behold soon enough)

Guess he needs a new mechanic. Because he's a better driver than me, and he lost to my big sloppy mean ol' Basher Tekno SCT410. =)

(I'm done talking about him.) Goodnight.

Disclaimer: I respect that driver very much and hope none of this talk finds it's way to his ear in any slanderous form

that the setup i posted for him PNB 2013!!! it almost what i run but/// i have non ft stock shock piston/emulsion/ blue spring rear/1.5 anti roll rear/front washer is like 2.5mm inside only and rear is around 5mm ( i run the rear link full all the way long in and out hole)and i dont run the carbon part to raised the ballstud(i tryed it but i like the tire to roll on the edge a little). my diff is 10k front 5k back( i lower the oil it help the rear not to rotate as much off power + i run around 120grm front haft of the truck(outside the chassis to about the middle) and exotek locked front clutch so i dont need heaver oil for grip). also i only run +3 wheels in the front

Cherry (try this setup if you have a spare truck) on you track and tell me how it hold up(i just want some input on this setup)... the only thing i wish i they made a harder spring for front i think my next order will be ofna 14mm spring front for the hyper 9 medium or firm. i have the soft and there like the same as associate yellow(slightly softer and taller you haft to run the shock collar to the top).
