The center diff was definitely hot. I'll put it down to build error, resulting in no diff fluid.
Guess diff disassembly should be part of the weekly ritual.

It was a first batch run.

Oil is rather good at cooling... I think "air" cooled 911s have 8-9 quarts.

Put the front shocks all the way out top and bottom. Rear shock should be second hole from the inside on the tower and outside on the arm. Heavier sway bar on the front(2.6-2.8), lightest bar on the rear(2.2). 7/5/2 diff oils. Lowest anti-squat setting.

It took maximum incline on the rear shocks, far outside hole for rear link, 20wt shock oil, yellow soft springs, and 3000wt oil in the rear diff to get where it was manageable. Add brand new tires and even with all that it still breaks traction while on throttle or out of a curve. Very frustrating.

What tires are you using, and what are the track conditions like?

Try 2000wt in the rear diff. That's what really locked in the rear-end on mine.

I'm curious if anyone seriously bashes their EB48 on 6S? 30 foot jumps, rocks, dirt, the whole shebang. How well does it hold up? How good are the diffs and drivetrain in general?

A good way you can tighten the rear end up in the corners is shorten the wheelbase at the rear hubs. Standing your shocks up more vertical will give you more side bite than laying them down. Also, the kit setup has alot of antisquat. Take it all out. That will help the most. Anti squat gives you an ass load of off power steering. Its good for times that your car pushes bad going into a corner and is loose coming out on power.

I am working on a setup for medium to loose tracks that are dusty. My car is running extremely well. I am going to be trying a few new things to my existing setup to see if it gets any better. Once i have it just right, i will post it up here to help out with loose conditions.

Yep. I run the shortest wheel base and 2K rear diff on almost every track surface. Also, take the rear anti squat and set the pill insert to the lower hole location. Another huge help is moving the battery to the back of the battery tray. Take the front of the main long battery strap and move it one slot back. That holds the battery back about 6mm. It doesn't sound like much but it makes a big difference with rear traction. The battery is the heaviest single mass in the whole car so moving it a little can have a big effect.

I wanted to let everyone know about an upcoming sale Amainhobbies.com will be having starting tomorrow May 13th and runs through May 20th. The sale will be as follows for TEKNO kits and parts.

Amainhobbies.com will be discounting kits at 10% and all parts/Tekno conversions are 20% off. The sale will run throughout the Silver Dollar Off-Road Challenge.

I will be attending the Silver Dollar Off-Road Challenge and will be racing my TEKNO EB48 and TEKNO SCT410. Feel free to stop by and check out my cars and ask any questions you may have.

TEKNO will be coming out with some awesome new items in the near future and most of the parts are interchangable between kits. Now is the time to stock up on parts and kits and save some money in the process.

Here is a link to access the sale on Amainhobbies. com-

See you at the track-

Put Door's setup on..... Faster laps, more corner speed, and an A-main win! Car was awesome!

Mines locked in 5-5-1 diffs, standup the rear suspension, I run rango white rear springs, no antisquat! I can't say that enough and max rear toe in. I was running short wheelbase and then slowly moved back to long wheelbase once I acclimated to the vehicle.
I run my rear links low and long but if you try all the above and the grip still isnt there you can try running shorter rear links to get the camber to change a little more when the suspension is loaded up turning.

Try driving it like a two wheel drive. It has tons of steering on or off power so you can really keep your corner speed up in the turns by just rolling off throttle setting the turn and then accelerating through. That's just my drivin preference though so those lighter diff fluids help with that style IMO.

Oh yea, no drag brake here either. I save that for on road carpet cars.

Ran 5 2s packs through the 4300kv HD today an I'm impressed...in all honesty it has about the same high end with slightly less low end than the 1900kv on 4s with the same gearing...everything did run a little hotter though. Even my 6000mah 65c-130c packs were hitting 125...this was on an outdoor track...the only problem for me is trying to figure out how to control it...anybody have any suggestions on springs for a 6.7 lb buggy...I was going to try the sct410 factory springs but it started raining.
