All motors 4 pole, sensored. 540 comes in 4000kv and 4500kv, 1/8 in 2100kv and 2700kv. Possibility of an 1800kv or 1900kv, if there is interest.

1900kv seems to be the sweet spot that most 1/8 buggy owners like

I decided to order a V2 Caster 1/10th based sct to test out and let people drive. I think it could be a good truck for indoor or just playing around but I'm going to finish it to test. I thought that the Viper copperhead system would be a great choice.

I agree 100%. Going with a lower KV motor and a larger cell Lipo will result in less amp draw and longer run times.

1900kv and 1750kv is a must for serious racers. No one at my local track runs 2700kv.

Although, 2700kv on 3s would be just about the same RPM's as 1900kv on 4s so the lighter 3s pack might make a buggy more nimble. It might be something to try. But, for longer mains, 5s or 6s is the way to go. Especially Truggys.

I have 2 cars: 1. dex210 and 2. desc210

-The dex210 has the vtx10 w/ a 17.5 tekin
-The desc210 had the vt1x0R w/ a 13.5 hobbywing

I was always impressed w/ my vtx10 w/ the 17.5 but then I experienced the vtx10R w/ the 13.5 and I was really impressed. I figured it was just the difference between the 13.5 and 17.5 but I wasn't sure.

So I paired the 17.5 w/ the vtx10r and it actually feels faster than the vtx10 w/ the 13.5. I made sure I was running the correct profiles for each setup.

My questions are:
1. would the vtx10r be producing more power than the vtx10 even though these motors are well within the limits of both esc's?
2. are my settings just so out of wack on the vtx10 that I made it actually slower?

I have the PC-link showing up today so I will be updated the firmware on both and starting over.

Hey! I have been running a Viper VTX 10 in my B4.1/B4.2 now for about a year and I really like it have some good finishes with it. Anyway I haven't purchased the PC-link yet and I was wondering if the software updates make a performance difference running 2wd buggy mod.? Is it worth the money and what are some of the major differences after updating software version for VTX10? Thanks!

I thought the vtx10 a55 firmware was much better and it fixed some bugs I was running into.

In what way is it better?

What "bugs" did it fix?
