Anyone know if the gen 2 rx8 will be offered in a black case!

Seems tower hobbies has both black and white cases as replacement!

Will the black gen 1 case fit the gen2 or is there a dedicated black case as a replacement and will there be a genuine black version of the gen2 rx8!

So does this mean that there will be T8-RX8 gen 2 Combo? Also, would i have to dial down my bec on the new Esc to 6.0v if I'm running a Steering Servo that has a max of 6.0v?

If there's a new motor in the works, combos probably won't be available until they are released. When the Gen2 540 motors were released they were never available as a combo with the RS or RS pro as there was the Gen2 esc in the works. This is purely speculation on my part, though.

Many servos that are only rated at 6 volts have been successfully run on 7.4 volts. What servo is it exactly? Maybe we can find someone who tried it.

6V is the default factory setting.

Its a Hitec 7955tg. Im just worried that the extra V's might fry the Servo.

Also, do you think im missing out on a lot if i just go with the gen 1 2250kv combo for my truggy or will this new ESC make that much of a difference?

I have tested the Gen 2 RX8 at 7.4v BEC output with a 7955TG and ran into no issues...

Love the White case and black heatsink!

I've been running same servo at 7.4v (via castle BEC) in 1/8th scale buggy since new for 6-8 months, with absolutely no problems.

Has the fan been improved and what is the ETA on shipping to distributors??
