YANKED VTX8 AGAIN!! This product is half-baked. The software is not up to snuff. Viper's response was to use a 2 pole motor in the SCT410...not acceptable! When you can buy an esc for $80.00, and it works fine, how come Viper can't get it right?? I have over 22 years in this hobby, and thought we were beyond these silly problems by now. I cannot recommend the VTX8 at this time. Buyer beware!!
I don't run viper and I prefer tekin but I do remember reading that there is a certain firmware update that will fix your issue so that you can run the 4 poles. Sorry that I don't have the link or more info on it.

Why did you keep yanking it? It's been running great, I'm just new to all this and seem to keep underestimating the stresses inside during a race. I can't blame the ESC for that, it works great.

Maybe all your yanking killed the sensor cable?

There has only been one update to the FW for the VTX8 and it's more of an update in relation to 2 pole motors I think, they support 4 pole out of the box. Not sure why they would tell you to run a 2 pole, sure you could, but you shouldn't need to. I could run a 2 pole in my EB48 if I wanted to, but I don't want to.

I know where there is one for sale. As soon as the owner gives me a reasonable price I'll post it in the for sale section.

Got a new sensor cable from the LHS today. It was an LRP 150mm and it was $10, which is cool as they are $9.25 on Amain so the price was good in comparison and I can race easy on Sunday.

Has anyone had transponder interference problems when mounting their PT on the EB48 receiver box?
I would be using a RC4 Hybrid.
Thanks

I don't have mine screwed in (also Hybrid RC4), I just double side tape it to the top there, no issues on EB48 or SCT410 doing this, Spektrum DSM2 receivers in both.
Others have it screwed in and haven't had issues either that I've seen.

Below is the stock body:

I got a race coming up and I'm trying to figure out which one I should go with. I'm stylin either way. Opinions?

mylaps transponders are not cheap, and they do transponders for all industries/sports, shouldn't have any problem in the first place.

I prefer the stock body. Looks good if painted up nice and let's everyone else know that you are running a Tekno. Be proud.

Stock body is my favourite.

No problems with a Mylaps hybrid on my buggy, mine is screwed in. Radiopost receivers.
