Put the VTX8 in my SCT410. Yanked it out. Put it in my EB48, yanked it. Updated firmware. Had throttle problems. Turn off esc, turn it back on. Then it would be OK,...maybe. If not, reset again. YANKED VTX8 AGAIN!! This product is half-baked. The software is not up to snuff. Viper's response was to use a 2 pole motor in the SCT410...not acceptable! When you can buy an esc for $80.00, and it works fine, how come Viper can't get it right?? I have over 22 years in this hobby, and thought we were beyond these silly problems by now. I cannot recommend the VTX8 at this time. Buyer beware!!

Why did you keep yanking it? It's been running great, I'm just new to all this and seem to keep underestimating the stresses inside during a race. I can't blame the ESC for that, it works great.
Maybe all your yanking killed the sensor cable?
There has only been one update to the FW for the VTX8 and it's more of an update in relation to 2 pole motors I think, they support 4 pole out of the box. Not sure why they would tell you to run a 2 pole, sure you could, but you shouldn't need to. I could run a 2 pole in my EB48 if I wanted to, but I don't want to.

Others have it screwed in and haven't had issues either that I've seen.
