Shaving the u-brace and using a C-Hub tower effectively raises roll center and mostly used for indoor high bite tracks...

I went with black, the only thing is you have to get 1" turnbuckles for the rear link. Got those ordered also.
JConcepts ships out quick too! Had them in 2 days!

Why the 1" turnbuckle for the rear? (very confused as usual)

Its says on the page on JC website, I can imagine because the rear cups are longer, I was confused to that why I scrambled to order some from amain, hope they get here quick!
"When using the new low-profile ball cup it is necessary to use a shorter tie-rod than normal stock units.
Tie-Rod length needed when using low-profile ball cup on outer rear camber link:
•BJ4/B44 - 1.00" turnbuckle
•RC10B4 - 1.00" turnbuckle
•RC10T4 - 1.775" turnbuckle"

hhhmmmmmm...... thanks for the answer. Guess I'll just stick to my RPM ball cups as I'm too stoopid to know why I need a "low profile" ball cup.

I don't see the point in the JC low profile ball cups. There isnt a clearance issue between the wheel and ball cup anyways. And the JC low profile cups are thicker and rub on the springs even worse than what the original stuff does. They were on my B4.2 when I bought it. They are now off.

Regarding Maifield's setups, if he's running a full pack and I'm running a similar setup but with a shorty battery instead, would it be necessary/beneficial to go down in oil weight since there's less weight with the shorty battery? If so, about how much?

I believe it's to use the angled ball cup in the rear.

most pro's when running a shorty are adding 40 grams of weight back to the car. so that setup change isnt really required, only person not listing adding the weight with the shorty is hartson, and he still runs a very 'normal' shock package.

Dustin Evans said he prefer to use full pack on outdoor tracks, so that there's more weight to let tire dig into the dirt better.

Also, if it's a photo taken by media, they usually put in either long pack or saddle pack for the picture, maybe to say it's ROAR legal, and during the race, they will use shorty anyways.
i.e. this year's reedy race, Hara's 2wd buggy has a saddle in the (more official) media photo, while some random photos shows he's using a shorty instead during the race.

isn't wolf pack similar to shorty in weight?

OK guys, just getting back into racing after a VERY long layoff and I have a T4.1 FT that I run the Ball diff. I traded my 22 for a 4.2 because the 22 just wasn't the same as AE for me, and it came with the Gear diff in it but I have all the parts to build the Ball Diff.

Question to you all is… Ball or Gear Diff?

Thanks.
