hard to say just yet but M3/M4 holeshots or something near that. That track was underwater Friday... it's amazing that it looked as good as it did!
I tried Green Hybrids, AKA Impacts, and M3 holeshots but since track time was limited and conditions were drastically different each attempt, it was tough to say one was better than the other. I think Flipouts, 3D's, Tasers, etc will all work. You just have to stay on top of it because the track is totally different in the morning, noon, and evening

Like usual I finished last lol. Mainly because I could not see. I really need to paint up my night racing body. There were a couple times where I completely lost my car. Anyway, I borrowed a Balistic 13.5 from a local sponsored guy because my reedy blew up. I ran the motor pretty tame becasue it was not mine (110), so I was lacking a little power for a double into triple. Honestly I could not ever see half the jumps, I just guessed based on practice when the sun was up, lol. I ran the 3x1.4 pistons with 32.5/30 with green fronts and white rear with a full pack. The car felt pretty good. I did chassis slap if I long jump flat landed, but other wise if was good. Good steering without being twitchy. Our track is also new and pretty green and changed greatly from the practice to the main. I kinda wanna install glow lights under my car for night racing, lol.

welcome to my world, lol. Outdoor racing can be like that. it looked like there was a fast line, but it was narrow. You over jumped a few of the jumps and looks like you hit fluff. The track might still be a bit green because its new. But the groove looked like traction was at least ok. I liked where the turn marshal threw you at another car. lol
So you can imagine how much the track changed in 8 hours, especially with 8th scales on it. It was just so much fun to be racing outside again!
By memorial day, we will be ripping wheelies

I was at the track today and listened in on someone explain the “Grind and C Hub” Mod. I looked it up on this tred, found on the first page!!! I am about to start building my B4.2. Is this an all around mod, or only for certain track types? I will be racing on a medium traction clay track. Would it be recommended to do the mod during the build, or try stock first?
lolAnd like Matt said, the C hub mod is for a high bite track.
If you want your car to drive more square through the corners then go for it. I find the A hub with 2mm inside lets the car drive more round around the corners and lets the rear steer through the corner making a more round feel where if you lower that link it is more point and shoot driving and letting the rear kinda slide more and can be less consistent but possibly faster if you can be consistent with it.

As fas as exposed shaft from the shock body to the shock eyelet and correct me if i am wrong but i think the above measurements are not correct.
3 limiters front = .090" which converts to 2.286mm which you would subtract from 21mm of the given shock shaft stroke which comes out to 18.714mm
Front with 3 limiters equals 18.714mm of exposed shaft
Rear with 2 limiters equals 25.976mm of exposed shaft
I corrected my shocks last night since i did not have my shock rod ends turned in far enough and it was a night and day difference.

3 front and 2 rear seems to be the norm.

2 limiter rear (26mm of exposed shaft)
Just got this info from Kurt @ avid regarding the limiter/exposed shock shaft length. He unscrews his shock end a few turns w/3 limiter to achieve 20.3mm exposed shock shaft length for the front as it will make the shaft length in between 2 limiter and 3 limiter.
I ran his recommended setting this past weekend and my car jumped/handled a lot better then my previous limiter settings (which was 2 limiter with 19.5mm exposed shaft)

I'm not worried. There was a ton of variables. We only ran a few laps of practice at 9am during the designated '10th scale time'. Ran our first qual (2nd race of the round) around 11:00. Ran our second (and final qual) around 3 or 4 (don't remember) and I only made 3 laps (serrated wheel nut fell off.... weird...) then ran the mains near 7.
So you can imagine how much the track changed in 8 hours, especially with 8th scales on it. It was just so much fun to be racing outside again!

lol Boreman has been building tracks for 30 years....
check out the pedigree

Oh and the pit lane was built that way when they ran the opposite direction. So far it hasn't presented issues but I'm sure if it does, they will change it.

Just seemed like they made a few fundamental errors. Maybe someone else built the jumps, maybe they just need to get back into the swing of things after winter, either way it could be better, but I have witnessed worse.
On a more thread specific note, your car did seem to do pretty well with all the flat landings. Big bores really help with that huh?
