Took the EB48 to the track today, what a cool buggy.

Is it just me, did I maybe use the wrong screw near the end, but it seems the upside screw in the steering coming off the servo horn is too tall maybe and is scratching the shell.

Did I use the wrong screw?

What is the battery combo of choice? What fits well? I assume most are running 4s? 2x2s or 1x4s? What makes/models of batteries fit well in the tray? Hard or soft packs?
Man, none of you are running batteries in your e-buggy, or is the whole thread full of people that can't find the vehicle in stock?

If you are on a budget then I HIGHLY recommend these packs ....
http://www.valuehobby.com/power-syst...200mah-4s.html

Very good packs for the price IMO , lots of punch and all of mine have been flawless so far .

IF the SMC packs ever come back in I would get them , but these are the best alternative IMO ......

Don't over fill diffs leave room for oil to expand some.

lightly sand down the case on flat surface if you haven't before.

when tightening up do opposite side snug or star pattern.
I snug all 4 screws up then go back around again to tighten but not to tight ether.

hope this helps you.

It would totally rock if someone made a video on how to build the Tekno diffs and shocks step by step. I would totally do it, but mine are all freshly built. Maybe the next time I tare them down I will do this.

This weekend was my first time driving my buggy, which was awesome, and I have the same issue! My bolt rubs the body and makes an annoying sound.

I used a longer servo horn and it helped out a lot!! This things steers like my 1/10 scale.. Love it and I can almost say this buggy is better then my NEW Mugen Eco.

Thanks for the reply but the servo horn is good, it's the very next section where the screw is upside down in the steering linkage.

How far is the screw sticking out? I run the hotbodies horn and with the screw in from the bottom up, and a nut on top I have no issue with rubbing. The screw I used just barely sticks out of the nut. I don't remember if I used the screw that came with the kit or not.

Sorry, the servo horn and screw are fine, it's the next linkage where the screw is upside down and the nut is visible from the top.

Oh sorry. Are you talking about the steering rack end of the servo linkage? The nut does not go on top there. It goes underneath in the recess. The button head screw goes from the top down. Look on page 24 of your manual. If you are talking about the screws on the ackerman arm to tie rod attach point, then you may have to trim the body a little. I had to on mine.

Ok, looking at my car and the manual it's Step P7, part TKR1327, which I now see is the same on both ends of the linkage.

The upside down screw with the nut on top seems to have enough length to scratch the body during racing. The manual states it's a 16mm long screw.

Does anybody else have this? I'd like to fix it and go a quick touch up on the body.

Thanks.
