Been getting better with my truck, consistently getting faster laps weekly.... Thinking about switching from the SC4X 4.5 Tekin to either a 4000kv or 4600kv Tekin Pro.

I wouldn't change the car I drive for anything... unless it's a new AE

Its the first word I have heard Ae working on something sense the Team upgrade kit was released.

This is why I stick with Ae all though these years ...

They are always improving their products
to be the best you can buy..

I love this thread too and only plan on making it more fun for those who are interested in tuning their Sc10 4x4 for the best performance ...

There are times when I think, I should buy another one and try again. I mean they are soooo cheap to buy, lol. I guess I am an AE fanboy and am like a moth to the flame. But i will continue to resist, lol. I just hope no one ever offers me a rocking deal on a used truck with all of the upgrades, I might just say yes, lol. "If" they release a new race truck or fix up this one, then I will probably buy one. God help me.

I'd go pro 4600kv. The power to weight ratio is the best I've tried. I tried the reedy 4.5 550 and pulled it after one battery and went back to the pro 4. Results may vary from person to person but I'm sticking with pro 4 for now.

since you mention you use the 4.5 Tekin, probably the 4600Kv will suit you better. The 4000Kv motor is good for small to medium tracks I felt. Boosted SLIGHTLY it woke up a lot. The main issue with running a 4600 in a sc10 4x4 here was on some of the very tight tracks, couldnt get sufficient gearing to keep temps down enough. For you though, i don't think that will be an issue since the 4.5 works.

I ran both of the pro 4's and still went back to my ballistic 550 4.5

So if they come out with a completely new kit biased of the rc8 you know center diff then will you agree that this truck will be discontinued.

I think this truck will always have a huge fan base. For some people it just works while others hate it. A RC8 based sc would be a logical move for AE. I'm sure they will come up with something really good.

Honestly, if they did come out with one based on the rc8, they may target the sc10 4x4 initially for indoor style tracks and the rc8 for outdoor, at least on paper. But, not sure if there is a big crowd for having both types.

I could have seen the sc10 4x4 soldier on if this rc8 based sct came into being as the RTR cheaper option till the prolite came a long.

Though, considering how much some have sung the praises of slippers over center diffs, I doubt those guys would get it just for that fact
