Back on topic, its a shame this truck wasnt there to represent. I hated seeing a Losi 2.0 take the win today and fill in most of the top spots as well.
Yea, my brother was racing and said tires barely lasted a heat using hard compounds I too was hoping to see some SCT410's out there.

I did hear over liverc that at the end of the day today the shop was doing 40% off tires and wheels for a few hours.

kevin, i have the springs/pistons on order. all should be here in the next couple days. i'll try your setup sheet (minus diff oils, going to go 7-7-3). i'm a bit concerned about the setup for the weight of my truck. i'm sure i'm 5-6 ounces heavier than you. i'll probably run with it indoor, but i don't really care it about there. i'm going to set it up for outdoor so please let us know how the setup works there and what changes you make.

I'd take a loose loamy track over a smooth sandpaper track anyday. If a set of tires isn't lasting you at least a couple weeks, then i'd switch tracks or talk to the track owner about doing something with the surface. I've had aka softs last me 3-4 weeks at my local track. An unconsistent surface is a small price to pay instead of buying tires after every heat. IMHO, if the track is smooth and consistent, it's not true offroad.

I totally agree. There is a track local to me that has that "sandpaper" surface and I don't drive there because my tires are toast after a couples heats.

Anyways, hoping to get back on the track this week with my SCT410. Anyone come across a chassis skin/protector yet that fits this truck?

Actually I started off at 6.8# and it's down to 6.4 now so we're pretty close. I'll let you know what I come up with. If I get it dialed in Madera it should be good at norcal and delta 1/8 tracks.

The cage type ones will create problems, I feel that they are for charging only.........

I've had the tekno 410 for about a month now and I like it way more than the losi ten-scte first of all its way more forgiving and easier to drive than the losi when you land sideways you won't flip over like you would on a losi secondly the differentials don't leak and the out outdrives don't wear out as near as fast as the lightened losi outdrives do . The car is built a lot stronger and beefier than the losi but is also a lot heavier but with the right gearing the car makes up for the weight I'm running the stock setup for the diff's but I'm constantly changing the shock fluids for different tracks since I live close to a lot of tracks in so-cal but I'm very pleased with how the car runs and happy I didn't get th 2.0 losi instead of the tekno

Any know who has aluminum hexes for the 410 in stock? I can't find them anywhere. I messaged two people yesterday that had blue hexes on their trucks.. no replies.. I rather not mod a hex to get it to fit. Any other hexes a direct fit?

Google "universal number plate background" and you'll find a 12"x18" 16mil thick sheet of adhesive vinyl in various colors made by Factory Effex for motocross bikes. I ordered some clear and some yellow. The clear is easier to cut out. It held up good last night.

I run the stock hexes. They don't pull off with the wheel and I don't over-tighten. So I will stick with them for now.

I have three races on my new Tekno now and 2 TQ's and one win with the other two being second place finishes...Truck is awesome.

I did put a little of my own set-up in it, but it just flicks into the corners, and I can pull throttle in area's my other truck wouldn't allow me to. Super durable, and just planted! One of the guys said he seen it pull the front wheels down the back straight, and our track tends to be a little loose most days.....

Only complaint is its a bit heavy even though it doesn't drive like its heavy, it is taxing my batteries and ESC a bit, but I have good batteries, and a Tekin ESC, so I am just keeping an eye on everything. Heck, the batteries come out almost the same temp as the motor. I think the batteries temped 109° and the motor was 118° and the ESC was 148°...I changed set-up a little and everything is working out. My previous 4wd was much lighter and I have had to find a new set-up to make this one work for me at this weight.....And for the Hexes, I just bored out a set from my Ofna and stuck them on...The plastic ones were wedging into the shallow hexes of the Losi wheels I run.

I noticed over on the Viper thread that lowering the LVC to 5-v helped. I think maybe going to a lover kv motor would be good, like a 4000kv 4 pole.
