Tekno RC EB48 Thread

I hear ya
Iam holding out on buggy to waiting for an after market body and
Also tekno is working on a solution for the servo saver set up which is still causing problems they thought it was the spring causing the problems which has been changed in second run i beleive but even so it has not solved the issue
Tekno has said that they will let us all know when they have solved the issue/s with servo saver set up
I hope this soon great to see tekno is actively involved in making this buggy better then it already is
Once this is done I will buy the buggy

This buggy is good to go!!!!
My Viper ESC and Tekin motor arrived today but the servo is lost so far, it is two weeks overdue, but there is still hope.
Still, I've done nothing on the build since last Friday night. Might get some bags done tonight maybe.

So how have you found it so far the build quality!

Very impressive, but remember I am a total rookie. Learning along the way.
I did ooh when I saw the shock towers though.
Everything is nice and I am looking to file down that bit if plastic in the steering for the servo saver and I'll wait for the new shock tools to arrive before I do the shocks.
I guess the shim situation is a bit confusing. My buggy seems to be fine with what I got.
Building the second one will surely be easier.

Are you talking about filing down the bur in the female part of the servo saver set up! Did you read my post 5115 have you heard any more info

That's what I'm referring too, that's all I know to do, from within this thread.
I was actually surprised that parts for these kind of cars come pre-attached to a frame that you twist them off of. I've noticed that with parts for shocks. I would have thought that in that application you wouldn't want a burr from where it was attached.

Tekno is working on a solution to the problems with the servo saver set up
Could be the quality issue burrs ect or they are redesigning the servo saver set up will all soon find out what their solution will be
Why did you go with the viper esc tekin rx8 has a smaller footprint and is lighter

I'm always interested in anything they come up with for things like that, as would most people I'm sure. If it's just a burr I'll take care of it.
I wasn't too worried about the weight of the ESC, a little more on that side will help balance out a battery.
The RX8 is getting on and the amount of failures I was reading about didn't give me much confidence in the system. I don't want to be sending it back for repair after trying to use it at the track.
Due to it's age its BEC only goes to 6v, another factor as I don't want to run an external BEC.
I hear they are going to have an updated model later this year but I will most likely get another Viper for the second EB48. I intend for both to have the same hardware, so switching between them is as transparent as possible.
