Default 2.0 conversion

Anyone racing in or around Cincinnati?

I just built my buggy in December and it came with the updated diffs that don't require shimming which I hear are a big improvement. I was told by serpent to run 15,15,10k diff fluids. I ran the buggy 3 days before I put the 2.0 conversion kit on... The first track I ran the 2.0 conversion was the huge layout at motorama. Hopefully the picture uploaded. Anyways. The 2.0 conversion is worth every single penny in my opinion. The car felt so much more planted . It turns better both on and off power. Just soaks up the jumps with the bigger shocks . And is incredibly stable now that the rear end is wider. A new 811 kit and 2.0 conversion is steep. But if you will not be disappointed I promise , this buggy makes an amateur look good out there for sure, I know from experienced. Never ran 1/8 or on an 1/8 track before this buggy. I finished 4th B man intermediate . I started rc in August. Not bad if you ask me for an event with 750+ total entries. I think there was up to e or f main of intermediate buggy ...

Cool man! Glad to hear that you were able to go to Motorama and race, yet too! That's awesome! Ps, I think the 2.0 doesn't have any bigger shocks than the original..

I bought the upgrade from Amain hobbies. Part ser600642. Here the description on amain. "This is an optional Serpent 811 2.0 Full Rear Upgrade Set. This set turns your Serpent Cobra buggy, Team Edition buggy and GT line of on-road vehicles into the updated 2.0 rear end which features many improvements and updates that create a wider and more stable rear end with increased steering and rear traction. Much of this is due to the redesigned rear shock body that increases oil volume, as well as increases the overall shock travel. The rear shock has also been moved to the back side of the tower with the addition of Lexan mud guards that can be painted to match a personal paint scheme. ". It came with new bigger shock bodies and longer rods.... It made a big difference.

Oh, and PS.... The official 811-Be 2.0 complete kit, comes out in another week or so. They should've started shipping already.

Yes I have heard that from multiple sources , wish I would have waited soo could blow more on tires lol . But not disappointed at all, had a blast racing motorama and a few other times indoors this winter. Anyone thinking about getting a serpent. Get the new 811 2.0 complete kit. This thing is ready to rock out of the box now !!!!

Really looking hard at this buggy and one other (EB48) Is there a site that really showcases the buggy or even maybe compares the two? I had a Serpent nitro touring car about 12 years ago and it was NICE!

Thanks

Also how the heck would I wire the two batteries together? Kinda confused on that and it seems the packs will turn into 4S (2 - 4400mah 2S 40C packs). I don't want to fry anything. Total noob in the current electrics. Any help on this and my pinion question would be great.

PS. Going with the 4mm bullet route I already have them.

You are awesome! Just what I needed to see.

What do you think for a pinion on the Sport? And what type and/or pitch? Maybe I should get one of those five pack sets?

Well, thanks for the reply but Tekno parts available to any LHS that sells Great Planes. Also, I have to mail order everything, so part's availability is not really playing a role in the decision.
