How many of you are using 1/8 buggy wheels and tires? I've never ran any on a SCT before and I just picked up a set of the Tekno 17mm adapters to try since I have so many buggy wheels and tires here already.
Any advantages to running buggy sized wheels and tires or do the standard 2.2/3.0 sct size tires/wheels handle just as good?

I've got the SCT-410 all wired up and ready for testing. It weighs 6 lbs 11.8 oz race ready with body, transponder, etc... Can't wait to run it.

Ya know, even though the EXC platform is going side to side, I've been wondering about mounting mine front to back....Kinda thinking about keeping the weight toward the middle, so I remounted mine yesterday. Snugs up against the front brace nicely. I'm using the HW SCT pro and I now room on the outside for my start switch and such. We'll see.

Is it a necessity to run an aluminum servo arm for steering? Looking at the first page it shows a list of "compatible" servo arms...are other manufacturer arms not compatible for a particular reason?
Congrats Tekno for a great showing at the DNC...Austin should have won pro 1/8 e-buggy as well...he's very close to a big win for you guys!

those pistons really that good? heard good things, and would like to try. but that price id like a confirmation how good they really are. whats the difference. good pack? bump handling? etc......those have always caught my eye. do they have other hole sizes too. that would suck because then making a decision on which ones to buy. is it REALLY worth it? love for tekno drivers to try these out and give your input.......especially YOU PREZ, AND DANNY!!! lol

OK......so an update on my awesome race weekend
i won the C.R.C.R.C SCT Shootout this weekend. missed TQ by less then a second. was well above TQ pace on 3rd qualifier. rolled it on those little moon pie moguls. marshall was faced the other way and didnt see me for about 4-6 seconds. ppl were SCREAMING at him, then he took a bit of time to get me. my fault because i shouldnt of wrecked and needed a marshall, but he SHOULD of been facing his corner and not turned to a spot that was the other marshalls corner, YES IT WAS A KID
o well................ALSO i TQ'D the next day at DIRT MAFIA Series Round 3 and took the win. i finnaly beat one of the fastest local racers around here. he's still faster then me (by .3-.5 of a second) but i WON!!! and TQ so it wasnt a fluke. with my old rig he would always be about 2 seconds faster then me. when i won the main everyone was givin g me cheers and fist bumps, joking about me signing autographs, and im there hero etc.... lol it was AWESOME!!!!! THANKS Tekno for everything!!!! getting so much faster with this rig!!!! im working my butt off to be one of your team drivers some day

Thanks for your thoughts Alan. I've had similar results when running 1/8 e-buggy, stripped out my Orion servo with a aluminum horn, then went to the stock plastic horn & haven't had a problem since. I guess I'll stick with the stock plastic arm for now until I see a need for the aluminum arm.

Thanks Ramos, thats why I was asking earlier if an aluminum arm is a necessity because it seems like everyone is running one, but sine I've stripped out servos using aluminum arms it makes me a little gun shy...I guess I'd rather break a plastic arm than strip servo gears...

The servo horn will strip before it "breaks", maybe set your servo saver loose to help. Mine stripped on the first day out and I just saw someone else DNF this past weekend. Luckily I had the parts to get him up for the mains.
