I take no offense. I see the value in everything done. More than you might realize. I also see the value in selling more because it's a "little" bit cheaper. I will not be buying $25.00 pistons and will just run oil/springs. Instead of having a box of parts, I will pick and choose. That's the difference for me. If they weren't that price, i'd have ordered all three and spent much more money than I did on my order. Y'see?

Also, FYI. We had a AE rep following and supporting us on the AE threads for 2 years before he left AE. =D

It takes a lot of force to push the perch into the spring. Was it caused by a crash?

Is it possible perch could be compressed and let the spring push over? Does the spring fit snug on the perch like they do on the other corners?

I would try pulling open up the perch a little and make sure it seats snug on the spring and see if that helps.
No scratches, that's nice fresh layout clay. heh. No crash, just clean tuning. Indoor clay, with only a little triple anyway. Eyeballing it, it seems perfect. I really think it was just a fluke and I was posting it to confirm it as such, so good deal! haha.

No crash. =)

That makes sense, and I appreciate the comments. I will rebuild my shocks and boot them. I built them as I do any shock, and the fronts are leaking bad. Not sure what's up with that. (cut out bladders running emulsion. Green slimed.) They are leaking out of the cartridges.

On the plastic caps, I had to drill a hole in the top of the cap and there is a bleeder screw/o-ring. I don't see anything like that build in to these caps so I'm wondering if these caps can't be used on an emulsion set-up.
Bump. TeknRC, anyone? Planning on placing a parts order soon, so I just need to verify if these will work or if I should just keep my plastic set.

Thanks

Default Air control guards

Once I put the nerf bars on the correct sides the air control guards fit perfectly. Looks like they should block a lot of unwanted air from getting under the body. I think a nice option piece of bling would be these guards in carbon fiber! After taking the pics I didn't like how the body could still flop around so I covered the ends of the nerf bar with a strip of Velcro. I think it'll help especially on the big outdoor tracks.

That is the toughest looking SCT I have ever seen. Those a-arms look like pipe eaters. Sweet rig.

- Springs are a littly spendy, but i'm sure more true, set to set than some others...
- Sway's are priced right.
- Your AL is just a smidge over typical pricing.

I know you guys aren't AE, but You've sold thousands of these things now and we 'want' to support you. Thoughts?
One thing you want to keep in mind is Tekno has parts manufactured here in the US and not china, (unlike Losi or AE) which is why their parts have excellent fit, finish and wear but also increase end user price point. Their parts cost way more to produce than the big companies. Also, delrin is a material that is time consuming to machine to tight tolerances, but is the best material for the job. Tekno could have a bunch of plastic pieces punched out but why would they if there was a better quality option? Tekno is dedicated to providing the best possible product from the best possible materials at a fairly reasonable price. I'm a budget racer but I'm always willing to pay more for quality items even if it means waiting longer to get it.

I've not heard of anyone adding weight to the rear. changes in set up to settle the rear yes, but not adding weight.

Im sure I remember Talking to Danny about parts and kits once and he told me they were made in Taiwan for him. I could be wrong on that, but am sure I remember it. I do know he said he inspects them to his standard and goes through a lot of looking before accepting them to be right however for sure.

Sure it's been listed here before but lately haven't had much free time to keep up with this thread, whats a good starting point for pinion size for a 4.5 turn 550 can? Obviously track dependent but didn't know if this truck had the same ratio as the scte. Thanks
