Full stock means your not running extra stuff on your esc settings so it blinks to let everybody know your not cheating

Maybe a 5/64" for the diff screw and 4 others on the underside of the rear part of the chassis??

The rx doesn't provide any power to anything, that's the ESC's job. It simply uses it, like the servo. The +&- pins in most rx's are bridged. Think of it as an internal y-connector.
When power demand is higher than the ESC can provide, voltage drops. It's this drop that causes the brownout (the rx "reboots"). I use a 1258 with a BH120 and an SR300. I use a cap because of the power requirements of the Savox servo. I had 3 brownouts before the cap, none after. It's not the end-all, be-all, but it works for me.
I would still get brownouts with a cap on a Sr300 if I tweaked the steering fast enough no matter which ESC I used. Dsm2 receiver with same servo and esc=no brownout. I Still run a cap though on every vehicle. Sold off my Sr300 rx collection.

Default Servo horn Savox?

Do the Savox servos need a "special" servo horn? I have used the "standard issue" Savox servo horn but there appears to be a bit of an angle going from the servo to the ball cup. IOW, it's not perfectly straight.

Additionally I broke my first plastic servo horn yesterday. I realize aluminum may have prevented this, but, would that have put more stress on the servo and possibly ruining it.

Also, I'm running the Avid aluminum bellcrank. Don't know if that matters or not, but, point being the Avid bellcrank does away with the servo saver. *sigh*

Any input?

They use regular Futaba (25T) horns.

I don't have any problems with my 1258. It lines up perfectly.

edit: Must have been an ugly crash, I've never ruined an AE horn.

Savox uses 25t / futaba horn. Some use aluminum horns. I have had good luck with the standard AE plastic horns, haven't broke one yet. *knocks on wood.*
If your using a horn other than the ae ones just move your steering to full lock both ways by hand to make sure there is no binding or anything hitting.
