I have Savox servos in my B4.1 and SC10 FT. Never had a problem with either. Wound buy them again. Really fast!

I run savox and you can get either the 1257 or 1258... one is just faster and the other has a little more torque. I personally prefer the speed. I have heard they might cause brown outs with spektrum gear but I don't record which as I do not use them. The only reason for that is because the BEC voltage isn't high enough to provide for both the RX and savox servo, so you can try using a glitch buster, or getting a BEC.

Ah, wondering with this being a lighter ride than my SCTE to where it might not glitch or hoping it was a different servo as i think alot of the SCTE guys run the 1258 and use Spek and it glitches

Pull the electronics. Break down the chassis, completely dry it (compressed air helps), use a soft tooth brush or paint brush for the sand stuck in all the crevices, clean and lube the bearings, and put it back together.

Sand and water can do damage if you don't thoroughly clean your kit.

Well even though this is a lighter ride it doesn't affect your electronics... If you have a spek then just look for another servo or research about the spek receivers and which you can use.

Default Tires for Clay w/dust??

I'm running a 2wd B4.1 w/13.5t motor, no boost, timing +10.

Up coming race on red clay, very technical track. Relatively smooth, but, definitely a few rough spots. This track always has some dust (corn silk) on the surface.

So what tires would you guys recommend? Temps should be ~50*F and moderate humidity. Rain is not expected, but, who knows, right?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Check with the regulars, the faster regulars... Every track is so different especially dirt types. You can get a good idea just walking the pits.

If I could do that I definitely would. This will be my first time at this track, and I just don't know who may be there. I'm fairly new to racing, just been bashing for a couple of years..... and I know my bashing tires.
Just no knowledge of red clay outdoor racing tires.

Gotchya. In your case I'd bring any small pin tires and anything remotly close to a rebar / suburb type tire. I'd also bring about $40 to buy a set and tools to glue them up before racing. RC racers are always happy to share setups, you'll have no trouble figuring it out quickly. I have no clue on red clay as I live in the desert. Hopefully someone can get you a little closer on here before you go. Good luck

LOL... I wouldn't know what to race in sand except for "sand paws" which wouldn't be a very good race tire IMO.

I've made a post on the race thread and maybe someone will chime in and if I'm really lucky my LHS wil have some in stock..... now that'd be too good to be true!....

I would prefer to pay that few extra dollars to get the 1257/1258 for faster speeds and a little more torque... Just my 2 cents :P

I was going to as well then drove a friends with this one and it was plenty fast. I even turn down the expo when the track gets loose to prevent pushing.

I was surprised but then again the orion BEC is at 6v.

I have the 1258 in my 1/8 scale xray e-buggy and love it as well. but have to run a cap with those on my 1/8 scale, never tried on 1/10 scale

cant go wrong either way. just I know no brown outs with the 1251. both are 4096 digital so the resolution is great
