I normally don't like to do this, but it makes a huge difference in the bumpy corner exit stability.
Is this what you are running at LH? I've been chasing a setup for this car indoors there because the traction is so high. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to get to the track lately so when I do its a race day and not much time for setup work. Just small tweaks thru the day. Not really getting anywhere like that and Im looking for a new place to start. I may steal your setup and work from there.

I loved this car outside, but I haven't been able to spend enough track time to work out a decent indoor setup.

BTW, what tires are you using?

18T. The track was pretty open and fast. There were only two tight 180s, everything else was fast and flowing.

No this was my outdoor setup. I have a totally different setup for LH. As soon as I can, I will fill out the sheet and send it to Tekno for posting on the site.

For tires, I am using pink taper pins ground to slicks with the red AKA insert. Many guys are running the Panther clay compound slicks with good results. Make sure you have the orange insert, or put the aka in.

If I get time later, I will post the synopsis of my setup here. Gotta go wrench now.

For anyone interested here is a pic of how I mounted the Speed Passion Silver Arrow V2 ESC and what I modified to do it. wish the power wire was just a tad longer..

Also, here is a pic of what is left of the nylon spur lol

the transponder wasn't damaged by this, just looks funny in the pic (has liquid electric tape on it)

Ya, you really can't run the long shank pinions or the clutch with the nylon spurs. The motor mount isn't strong enough to keep the mesh tight.

lol, thats for sure.

I did enjoy the "snow" when it went though. Got metals on the way for the eb and the sct.

Will be going straight pinions, sell the long shanks.

I did that to one of my spurs too! I accidentally left the motor mount a bit too loose and it slid over just enough to make it snow spur gear just like that!

Cain, it looks like your missing the bottom screw on your motor mount. That would make it stronger if it were in.

Did you de-case your ESC ? I was able to fit a HW XeRun 150 just as you have that V2 which I thought was the same ESC ....

Yeah that bottom screw on the motor mount is mandatory , once you use it the mesh will not change and you should be able to use the long shank pinions .

You need to use the metal spur with the Traktion Drive/ElectriClutch setup because of the way the clutch bell can move around on the shoes , causing the gear mesh to change .

ESC is stock, no changes to the case. its possible they are the same just different case designs. SP is cheaper though when in stock.

I was told by Tekno that the steel spur was mandatory for the long shank pinions as well.
