cool looks like that is what they are configured with along with 7-5-3 diffs and those xray springs.

Just got one of these with low use and the updated parts, I was curious is there anything I should look out for? Also any pieces that break easy? What's a good Esc and batt to run Aswell as pinion prob going to run a Tekin 1900 on 4s?

Most are using the 2050 I had the 1900 going to thw 2050 with a 16 tooth, just get a set of front arms as a safety precaution nothing really breaks on this buggy!

Glad you found a spring that worked and that you're psyched to be running the buggy again .
Already been there, done that. It helped, but I'm looking for just a little bit less entry steering. I mean a little teeny weeny bit. I am going to try reducing the caster by one degree next time out.
This buggy is as close to perfect as I've ever had any of my cars in over 20 years of racing. That is really saying something

I know you want to loose some turn in though.
You are correct about limiting droop. It will give more steering on power, but taken to extremes, can cause bad jumping behavior, and make the car hard to drive under power.
I am currently at 100mm front, and 118mm rear. I am also running 25mm front and 26mm rear ride height. The current layout has small 10th scale size jumps, and is fast and flowing with many faster turns.

A Tekin RX8 and T8 2050kv, same as my RC8.2e
Packs will be 3700mah 4s
Servo Hitec 7955tg

Anything else thats a must get please let me know, i would appreciate it.

Also a starting set up would be great, especially suspension springs etc... I will put in the Blue CSI pistons so shock oil i will figure out. All I see on the site are sdrc set ups and i run on bigger outdoor tracks. Bigger jumps, rougher in spots, faster straights and turns etc. Still clay hard pack but usually with dust on top till it grooves up. Wet down often with good traction then looser as it dries up as usual. Thunder Ally, Revelations etc.

Thank you all for your help, i appreciate it.
Try this setup to start.

I ran 7-5-3k front to rear for the diffs. 10x1.2 pistons with 35f, 32.5r oils. Yellow front springs, and orange rear. All geometry settings as per Danny's setup on the website except for the shortest wheelbase, and one step longer for the rear camber link.. 2.3r ,.2.4f sway bars. Most importantly, and what made the buggy drive harder out of bumpy corners, was removing the rear chassis brace! I normally don't like to do this, but it makes a huge difference in the bumpy corner exit stability.

Try some expo on your steering.

I dont think there really is a caster adjustment, but you can change the front kick-up

It's steering exponential. As you add expo it will slow down the steering response accordingly. Say your car feels really responsive to the point when steering some would call it twitchy. Then adding a little expo will take the initial turn of the wheel and turn the wheels less/slower until you surpass the expo setting at which point your steering is back to normal throw/speed. It really helps on corner entry or sharp turns where it's easy to oversteer your car.

For you guys running the rx8 are you guys turning down the current limiter?

hmm, on the futaba 4pl i have I found that if I put in negative expo that slowed the steering response?

MXer59: I would suggest giving the steel spur gear a look.

^^^ You are correct. Exponential is based on a curve.
