True testament to this truck.. My brother races his sc10 that started as a rs, he runs ko servos, lrp sxx comp, reedy 9.5. The only mods to the truck are mip cvds, alum .5 hubs and jconcepts ball cups and ti turnbuckles.. Still has the stock untouched gear diff and junk blue shocks..we race on large 1/8th tracks, with low-mid traction.he constantly turns 1.5-2 second faster Laps then anyone else at our home track, and all surrounding tracks.just Alittle setup and the truck is dailed!

New to 2wd and 17.5T. I grabbed an FT Sc10 and will be running a MMP with revtech 17.5T nano tech 50-100c 5600 2s. What gearing should I run? Tight small backyard style track. Right now I have 84/23 is this a good start?

You'll Love the Rev Tech.. I run about 35* of timing with 4000rpm punch on the MMP. Its perfect on small track.. Currenltly running 19/87 for gearing and after 6 minute runs comes out about 125.. Make sure you run a Cap or Glitch buster. It May miss at full throttle if you dont..

Off power steering is sort of the bane of 2wd. You either have none or it swaps ends, lol.

I've found that for me personally, tires made the biggest difference, way more than setup. Find the tires that give you the most steering for the track you are on.

And in some situations a little drag brake doesn't hurt.

...and if tires and drag brake don't get you enough steering you can try decreasing the number of limiters in the rear shocks.

Yep. Adding more rear droop allows more weight transfer to the front off power or on the brakes giving more steering.

So I tried the complete sc10b front suspension on my FT sc10. AWESOME. Just have to rest the body mount across the top of the tower and drill the center hole for the blue alumanum bolt, then drill the holes for the chock mounting and your done. Dont even have to move the body rests on the posts. If you use the shock tower you have to have the arms as well. All the mounting holes for the front bumper are already on the tower. Works really nice.

Still confused on how exactly it is awesome. What did it do for handling?

Just from a couple of quick pics, it looks as though if you go with the SCB front end you end up with a much more vertical shock. Is that accurate or were the pics misleading?

I have the buggy as well. The handleing for the truck is much the same as the buggy. What I can say from the original front end, with the buggy front end feels much more responsive, the front feels more forgiving as well as planted. I'm also currently running the 12mm AE shocks as well. if you want to text me 928-279-4293 I can send you the pics of my truck.

Default Light, thin SC body

Hi, I did a search on this topic and didn't find anything. I need to get another SC body and thought I'ld try a lighter than average one. I know that this will most likely mean less durability, but I thought I'ld give it a try.

Are JConcept bodies generally .030 thick ? This would be on the thin side, correct? Is the JConcepts Raptor X-flow body a thin, light body? Any suggesstions?

Yes, more vertical. Only a little bit though as the mounting point on the a arm has changed as well. Imagine the entire shock assembly moving out towards the wheels then down towards the ground.
