I've raced mine twice and it's a blast again, had to tell a kid in practice to chill out with the slamming but overall with the new bb and triad and peak 17.5 motor it's fast

Had a good long practice session today, finally with no breakage. I had put on the RPM bumper/skidplate and also added RPM ballcups with FT Ti turnbuckles all around, FT aluminum rear hubs, and FT shock bushings. Truck handled well, probably the best it has been so pretty happy with that. I did not notice any ill handling characteristics from adding the RPM front bumper kit.

Question: Does anyone know if I can run a 13.5t Revtech and Savox 1258TG with my stock (RTR RS kit) esc/rx? I am pretty sure the esc can handle sensored motors and I read I can use a BEC stabilizing capacitor for the servo. I'll upgrade the esc and radio eventually, just trying to see if I can get away with minimal $$ before going racing.

Go to the AE website and start with the Chad Due setup for trackside. That should get you where you need to be---to start.

what advantages are you supposed to get with the SCB front end? Are they just using arms or something else?

Yes, had to drill two holes. One on either side of the center mounting point. If you notice the scb front shock tower has mounting points for the t4 front body posts. I am pretty sure the scb front shock tower and front arms will replace the current t4/sc10. As for handling characteristics... It is similar to the changes made to the rc8.2 the "worlds" front tower/arms if you will. By lowering the mounting point on the tower and the a arm it alters the geometry. I'm no physics major but I'm pretty sure it has to do with leverage. The end result is more stability and less twitch.

You need the Arms and Shock Tower. I was told (for the T4) that it helps prevent the truck from wanting to spin out coming off the straightaway. It helps to make the steering smoother. The person I talked to said that a few of the team guys were trying it but they hadnt put alot into it as of yet but that it did show promise.
