Well I wanted configure it that way, but my other promatch batteries have the connectors opposite. So I have to be able to swap my leads back and forth.

I am looking for help here guys, have just finished building my b44.2 and the rear transmission is binding when I turn the wheels on power, the entire rear suspension moves up and down from full droop to about 3/4 droop, I have obviously done something wrong, any ideas

So I've been slowly reading this thread as I slowly upgrade my b44 I got into a b44.2... I'm about to order the big bore shocks and motor mount so my question is what springs do you guys suggest? I'm running on a hard clay track without many big jumps.. Large track that's about half technical then half high speed. I looked back quite a bit but still haven't found much

Also, what's the difference between the new slipper vs the old one? Thinking about upgrading that as well.

Thanks

MemyselfandI:

Did you install the limiter washers inside the shocks?

CaseyDDR: The new slipper won't fit; it's too thick. You can install the Avid Triad slipper which does a good job. I spent quite a bit to upgrade an old 44, and finally bought a real 44.2. Not so sure it's worth upgrading... I sold my 44 to get the 44.2 and I think it was less expensive this way.

Thanks, I have no issues with the current setup honestly, so I won't bother with that.

What about the shock springs? Good combination you might suggest? I'll be running 35wt in the front 30wt in the rear to try first. I know the big bores from what I've read everywhere are a huge improvement.

Does it moves up and down with the tires removed?? Out of balance tires maybe?

And they say to use 2 spacers IF you use the outer hole on the rear suspension arm.

New b44.2 owner here and new to 4wd buggy in general. My question is on the diff housing shimming. I shimmed per manual instructions but each diff spins fairly free but not much side to side play. So my question is how tight should these be built, thanks.

You want them tight, especially during break in. I always built mine too tight and then ran the car for a pack or two then take out a shim or two (depending on how tight you had it). You dont want side to side play.

Sounds good, thanks. One assembly was pretty loose I could spin it and would rotate 4 turns easily and the other maybe a turn.
