The AE FActory Team B44.2 Thread

Thanks guys, it was the shock ends. I've always built mine to sit flush where the threads meet the smooth shaft. Actually got about 3 turns on each corner before they bottomed out. Now, the front dogbone sits flush inside the cup instead of half-in-half.

Are you guys running the standard open cell inserts or closed cell inserts?? I bought a set of jconcepts bar codes all the way around. I run at a small indoor clay track. Also if using the open cell inserts should I use the full rear foam in the front tire?? It seems to bulge the tire out a bunch and make the tire rear firm

Thanks, I have a shorter length Reedy wire coming.
I just soldered the wire on the posts at a little angle.

Just incase anyone is in the market for a B44.2 --- I've got mine up for sale. Something came up and I'm forced to sell it
It's a smokin deal. I got nearly a grand into it:

From: RIP 'Chopper', 4/18/13 miss you bud:(
Because according to your post in the Xray thread you sold your .2 (and your sole
) to run the XB4.why are you looking for towers

I never rebuild just maintain. I sell my kits and then buy new after a few months. It's crazy but its gotten so common at the track most of my kits are spoken for long before I am ready to sell. Sold the kit and parts plus the 5.5 thinking the XB4 would be the "Luxury" kit of the year. Yet I will always be a 44 fleet fan boy no matter what I am running. I change up from time to time for testing out the comp.
No way will will I buy a kit if I am going to have to deal with all that crap. Not to mention miss racers waiting on updates and parts. I have been down that road with the XXX4. Well I read a post in there, hang in there it will be all worked out. They have been testing for 2 years. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't already have all the fixes for this kit...

Come on xray give me a break. If If I buy that kit resale would be zilch.
Since day one of the .2 I have had some shock towers back ordered. Yet still none?????
I got a total of 350 for my current motor and parts lot. So 120.00 pretty much the cost of a full rebuild I will be all brand shiny new again. All I am out is the spare parts, very minimal and never used.
All that said my kit was all original even the diffs since day one. Only thing I broke was the left front a arm. Ran the slipper tight.(eat your heart out XB4).
So build the .2 put on some JC or RPM ball cups and race it till its time for a rebuild. The XB4 needs about a minimum of 70.00 in updates before the box is open. I am sure the XB4 would not be any faster and I am more than happy with the .2
That's my story....
The .2 has saved and cleansed my soul.....ROTFLMAO...good one...
