Maximo,
Thinking of either the 9901 Nova or the 9886 (although I have an Ofna 086 laying around). I would imagine the 9901 provides a little more juice on the bottom and a little less on the top (although from the videos I've seen this engine revs to the moon.)

Hambone,
Awesome! I don't know anyone here that does rc, so it will be good to have someone to race with or something and make some RC friends! I've never drove truggy, but am thinking about picking up a K-Car truggy soon. Not sure yet; I drove an XT8 a while ago in Germany and it was dialed but feel the platform is outdated now.

Brian(phillyjynx) can help you out with Kyosho. We race together too. I run an old dirty bastard losi truggy, lol. I can certainly help you get that engine running crispy though. What town you in?

I live in Orange, NJ. It's about an hour 40 to Bloomsburg which is nothing especially on the weekends. Looking forward to meeting you guys.. Itching to ramp up my driving skills and meet some fellow rcer's. Looking to build a K-Car truggy this winter for a winter project and drop another CRE in there.

Hi Tony. I've never run the xz speeds, stock or modded. Had many vzb speeds though. Neal has a new p/s/r in his shop for my C6 USA that's getting his newest version mod. Now that's one heluva runner. The last p/s/r he did for me i asked for it to be conservative and it ran very nice. Prolly more of a buggy mod as it was tamer than my Fire 11 i ran this yr. His newest mod however is much more aggressive since i only run truggy now. Too bad the C6's aren't around anymore. The new engines have the crank way over timed and don't respond to modding as well as the C & B series do. If you have a new p/s for your USA call Neal and bug him to mod it. It's a beautiful running engine. It'll probably be 2 more yrs before he gets mine done(lol Neal!)but i'll let you know how it is. The clocked F11 is a sweet ass runner.

Did you think the F11 was faster than your USA engine? My F11 P&S only has 2 tanks of fuel through it, how was your fuel.mileage on the F11?

I never ran either engine stock. So as modded the F11 is definately a notch above the USA no matter what mod the C6 has. I made 10 pits with the F11 everywhere except 1 track. Nobody got good mileage at that track though. Plus i revved it so hard there it flaked metal off the rear bearing race. I really like running that engine. I used the 2045/192 on small tracks and a 2083 on big tracks and you could really tailor the power curve. 9886/41001 split the difference between those pipes. Talk to Neal, i'm sure with only 2 tanks he can fix you up. I have friends that run stock F11's and the engines are way different. Neal's mod gives it a much better bottom end than stock. No more light switch power band. It might even rev harder up top than my bonito when i use the 2083 pipe.

2083 pipe? Who makes that pipe? What does it look like or compare to? What header do you use with the 2083?

Bought it from Italy. Boss pipe. I use it with the manifold from my 2013. It normally comes with a unique shaped manifold that doesn't work very well. Has a 4 spring flange like werks pipes. It's similar to 2058. A little more power though. Bends very easy. Just bought 2058 for its replacement.

I have a couple of the 2058 pipes, and 2057, have had time to experiment with those pipes yet, just have played with the 9901, 9886, and manifolds. I like the 9901/41001 on my buggy with a 21-4, played with 21+5 and 9853/41005, in Losi truggy, it makes some great power. I would like to play with the F11 a little more, for truggy, just have used the 2045/192 on that motor. Just not enough time for now, I need to retire, so I can play with my toy cars more!

I never tried a 2058. But i do have a new one sitting here. The problem with a stock F11 is its high exhaust timing. It's basically a rally/club onroad sleeve. Neal can give the details but he drops the sleeve down in the block which tames down the high exhaust timing and the intake ports all get raised back up by hand grinding which is a lot if work but makes for a totally different engine. I really like mine but sadly RB seems to be done with them. So if you are able, get it hot rodded. You won't be disappointed. My bonito seems more refined and runs great everywhere with one pipe, but i have a blast strapping different pipes onto that RB ang ringing it out. I did just shatter the inner race of my 2nd rear bearing, lol. Long story behind that "special" nova ceramic bearing. Shaft job from the west coast. So bearing #3 and she's just like new.
