what about the os .25 i see a lot of guys running them at the track and seem to be always at the top? the only thiong with a 28 i seen im run out of gas before the race is over so not sure if i really wanna go with a 28 but you seem to be the man when it comes to motor. im running a nero toro now not modded and just standard plug not sure if that really make a difference?
turbo plug matters, and who modded the Toro Nero can make a huge difference....not many modders even know how to modify for making power..Most leave their engines so close to stock that not even the dyno can pickup any power gains........

the 28 is quite a bit faster then the OS 25, but will also be harder on fuel.....7 minutes at oval pace maybe too much fot the 28 without a fill up........If that is a huge concern then look at my modified Roma...it is every bit as strong as the OS 25, but with maybe even more top end...

Ran the CRE p5 again today but instead of in my TKI3, I ran it for the first time in my new Intech BR6 buggy. Struggled all day trying to find the tune as I found I had a small leak in the tank (which I fixed), replaced the fuel filter, and inspected all the fuel and pressure lines and still went up and down all day chasing it. Right at the end of the day, my pressure line got cut in the flywheel so I was forced to replace it. Man, I feel like a dummy, the new pressure line was the answer and as soon as I fired it up, tweeked the needle a little bit and BAM! tuned was finally found! I wasted my whole day, well most of it because of the overlooked (or should I say, Under looked) pressure line. P5 was pushing the BR6 to its limits and sounding like an animal.......FINALLY.
Man what a DUMMY I am!

Not really a good idea to modify a used engine, especially a used engine someone else has worked on......
best to start fresh so someone Else's work doesn't interfere with what I am doing.........
even one of my .21's may substantially outperform what you have right now, depending on who modified thatToro

always the golden rule ! if a engine acts up it is likely not the needles but rather a peripheral mechanical of some sort ! in the end happy to hear you got it dialed inn

LOL
weather was really bad as a storm was expected to hit us yesterday. Besides, my brain wasn't functioning too well
Still feel like an idiot

Broke in my modded CRE P5 on my Hudy bench using a special break in fuel from Bones Motorsports. The oil in the fuel has more ash in it then regular fuel. This causes a mild lapping effect. Motor was behaving as if it was fully broken in after only 1/2 hour and 1 quart of fuel.
Headed out to Fear Farm to give it a test ride. Put on bald tires, as I thought I would still be breaking it in, NOT! This thing was ready to scream after one "tuning" tank on the track. However, the tires were spinning so badly I could hardly get over jumps. Brought it in, adjusted my BUKU clutch from my damp track settings to slippery track conditions (loosened up #0 spring and tightened up #2 spring) and WOW!!!! What a difference. Jumps no problem. Getting over jumps that normally are hard to jump in damp track conditions.
This video is hard to see, as my head mounted Go Pro camera is not great on such a large track.
This video is just fooling around on the big triple by the drivers stand. With this crazy powerful motor I could make the triple effortlessly without even jumping over the first table top.
Neal. Hope you got the mods you did to this one written down!!!!!!!!!! Bottom end is fantastic (pulled the BUKU clutch with low settings with ease) and the top end is crazy fast. I hate to see it when it is fully broken in with lower % oil race fuel in it!!!!!!!!
Thanks again CRE.
