I know you usually get what you pay for but it's hard to justify buying something like associated or others that cost $100+ when you can get two for about $80.

I'm running 5300ma to 5600ma battery's..on the C ratings all of mine are 65 to 70..I'm making time and have tons of rip coming outa the corners..I'm running the Exotec foward saddle pack mounts..the FT saddle pack mounts didn't give enough room for me to use an RX8..
Do you know about what your average run time is with them and mines mounted under the belt.

I never really timed any of my runs..but I had no problems making an 8 minute main and had about 25% left, on the nano tech battery's I have never had any problems with them..they have held up great, I've been using them for about 10 months and they still run like new..but with that said I never run them to lipo cut off..
Do they heat up real bad or do they handle to extra stress of being in a 4x4?
Cuz when I had a stock RTR 4x4 I had a 40c gens ace that would get pretty toasty but that was striaght bashing not racing.

They are better then gens ace for sure. I used to have some of their stick packs and made quick work of them in 4x4 sct.

I have had great luck with turnigy and zippy. All of my turnigy packs have come perfectly balanced and I have not had one failure. The nano techs are great and have been performing well for me, although I have only used the stick packs. I did try a gens ace once and did not feel as much rip or runtime. The pack came with one cell at about 3.4 and the other was at 3.83 so it could have just been a faulty cell.
Front Slipper Pad:
When running not pinned i.e. decoupled with the VTS slipper, the VTS is only controlling the back wheels while the single slipper pad on the back side of the spur controls the front. Since the VTS has more grip due to the design, you end up wearing out the front slipper pads. When I installed my VTS I put a new HD pad on as well (on the backside of slipper). When I disassembled the other day I noticed that the VTS pads looked new and the pad on the back side of the slipper was wasted. This means that although I was running the overdrive front end, the slipper pad was so worn that it wasn't really 'pulling' from the front rather just letting the fronts keep up with the back. Also under power or braking, the front slipped and the rear gripped (slipper pads, not tires), making the truck act more like a 2wd. It actually works good for a tacky tight indoor track but really bad on a loose outdoor.
IMO: If you are running the VTS slipper uncoupled with the overdrive front end I would check/replace the front slipper pad regularly. Coupled doesn't matter as the VTS slipper is used for both the front and the back.
personally liking the promatch saddles. work great and don't get hot.
As for the slipper pads mentioned, I am assuming the RC Shox Garodiscs would be a great option to use if you are slicking the stock pads or even HD ones.
