Thanks

The Avid slipper fits under the stock cover.

Same nuts as the rear 8-32 I prefer the JConepts version P/N 2075

So would the Tekin 6.5 setup be good? Anything else I might need or want?

6.5 is too much for 2wd buggy. I would go 10.5 or 8.5 depending on the size and traction level of your track.

I like the VTS slipper too. The RPM gear cover doesn't quite fit over it though. I dremeled mine and the remaining plastic is about paper thin.

Okay I did my research on the VTS it seems to be the same as the avid except for it allows for use of stock spur. What's parts do need any chance I can get the part numbers so I can order the parts? I'm going with the VTS.
Thanks
Wil

guess it depends on the use of it. I didnt like the avid at all on a dusty outdoor track with 6.5 to 8.5 mod. Maybe it's just fine on indoor high bite tracks where you lock them down. My avid would lose its bite about 3/4 through the race compared to the vts that didnt. Stock it was fine. I asked in the Avid threads about this and they just said it was finger print greese on pads. lol, whatever. Ofcourse this is MHO.

The black AE cover fits like a charm.

Kind of a stupid question but why are you guys running the black gear cover over the clear or vise versa?

The clear seem like they are made out of a harder plastic and can be more fragile. Plus... the black look way cooler.

I like the fit of the RPM cover a LOT better than the AE covers. The plug in particular is much better on the RPM cover. It doesn't wear out over time and stays put.

Well did you ever clean the Triad pads and plates with motor spray, and then assemble the slipper without touching any of the working surfaces? Fingerprint contamination on your slipper is very real. I always assemble my slippers completely clean, and without touching the working surfaces and I have yet to have a slipper not work the way I want. A clean slipper is a happy slipper.
