That was 15 minutes of attempted reading that i'm never going to get back...

I haven't ran the 8mm mod but I do run the inner ball stud raised 7mm on a high traction clay track and it is money. Allowed me to push the truck harder coming out of some tight turns. I gained a full second on my lap times. Before I raised the ball stud I had to feather the throttle until the truck was almost straight or I would loose the back end and spin out. Now I'm on the throttle and lifting the inside front wheel.

I have only had this truck for about a month but I already like it better than my Losi. Its just fun to setup and drive. If you ask me I think its a work of art. The design is original. Yeah it needs some tweaks out of the box but isn't that what makes this hobby fun. Not some downsized 1/8th scale buggy that someone threw a SC body on. OK I will shut up now.

Just got back from the track and got o drive a few laps with wc"s truck...
It felt really good. Very good

driving it slow because I've been on the 2wd buggy kick for about a month, but I really wish I had brought my truck this time

When you scale your truck do you want it at your ride height or just set it softly on the scales.

I think I want it at the proper height before I measure it but I'm not sure.

Weird issue: I swapped to new front arms, then started having steering issues. I thought it was electrical, swapped a servo and then an esc. Went to refill and rebuild the shocks, when I noticed that at half-full droop, the bottoms of the steering knuckle arms are seriously rubbing the edge of the suspension arms. Options were to grind some plastic, crank out all the negative camber, or limit droop. I added about 4-5mm of internal droop limiters, and 1 turn out on the turnbuckles. Now it clears, but droop is hurting.
I want to drive it once or twice to see how it feels (curiosity), but I think I gotta dremel. Anyone else experienced this?

PS, I loved it with the CF hub extenders and 3mm under the rear inner bs on indoor clay. No traction rolls, kinda slidey, but not loose. Took it off to try it the old way again...this is with STRC .5 hubs.

I've visited this thread many times and it seems that this kit only works well after lots of time and money.

I run at a track but don't race (TRCR). I have my SC10 and B4 set up pretty well and my SLASH 4x4 gets around without any problems after a little tuning (springs, oil and tires make a big difference). Last time I was at the track I just couldn't get over how quiet the SC10 is compared to any other 4x4 SC!

So, will this truck be a complete let down if I only do minimal tuning? Again, I run at a track, I don't race there. I don't know if I would notice adding a few millimeters of this to that and so on.

I want to build the FT kit and do the same as I have for my other kits - basic set up stuff. Oh, and no saddle packs - I have enough hard case Lipos. I may even get the original kit and pick up the upgrade package.
