A true E-Truggy is both longer and a lot wider than a buggy platform.

Wheels are any standard 8th scale buggy wheel. Tires are specific to your track and conditions.
thanks for the info guys...Ive been trying to read thru the whole thread while im bored at work lol.....I think I won one this buggy from the RCCA giveaway on facebook. I received a message today (hopefully wasnt fake lol). Ive always wanted to get into course racing but didnt know where to start...Ive been in the Clod MT world for the past few years.

This buggy looks absolutely ridiculous!! I do want to stay ROAR legal because we have tons of tracks in VA...I like the Tekin T8 alot, I found a 2000kv setup I like and can run on a 4s...what "C" rating should I be looking for?

Lucky u winning a eb48.. as far as c rating try the basic turnigy 5.0 or a gens ace pack if you are not crashing at all mabe focus on a better battery because they range in price from 50$ to 180$ each

Yea I just checked the FB page again and they posted it....Thats is soooooo cool, Ive never won anything lol..

I use Gens Ace alot and they have worked very well for me..they have a few different "C" ratings in 4s to choose from...but this is the only hardcase I found..

The switch is mounted to the ESC case.
I saw that. I am just saying that if the off position on your swith is facing forward, the esc will likely turn off if you have a hard landing or you lawn dart.

There is a switch mount on the integrated mud guard/radio tray. Be careful with your swith position. I can't tell if where the "on" position is, but it looks like you might have a buggy that will accidently turn off on a hard landing. I like my switches facing side-to-side or with the "on" position towards the front or towards the bottom so it is unlikely to turn off.
Sef can you show me a picture of where the switch should mount? That's the last thing I have to do....lol

At work, so I can't snap a pic, but if you look on your mud guard, next to where you place the esc, there is a switch mount built into the mud gaurd.

Your switch does not have to go there, just make sure to mount your switch so that the off position is not facing forward or down.

For anyone that thinks your switch will not turn off on certain landings, you're either lucky or you have a brand new switch that hasn't loosened up yet.

How does the EB-48 durability compare to the RC8.2e Factory Team?

The Team Associated is 100 dollars less and parts are about 30% less cost and more available.

Trust me, I like the Tekno, I race at SDRC, I'm just trying to get all the info before dropping some SERIOUS change.

Very durable i raced mine 4 weeks now with not one broken part! I think once the eb48 gets dialed in it will be the buggy to have! Jumps nice and because of its weight you get better run time and better jumping ability! winning races is what its all about!

At stormer the eb48 is $499. Rc8.2e is $469.
Unless you have a hookup at a hobby shop I doubt if you can get the ae for $399.
Of course parts are more available for the ae. The tekno is a new car and much smaller company than they are.
To replace all 6 arms on the ae is $25. Same price as tekno. Shock towers same price.

My EB48 is on the way!! This is all new to me so I will be reading up and asking alot of questions...

I was looking at a few tires and found 3 I really like....

Pro-Line Suburbs M3 (Soft)
Pro-Line Revolver 2.0 M2 (Medium)
Pro-Line Hole Shot M2 (Medium)

Also decided to go with the Tekin T8 2000kv motor and RX8 ESC and Gens Ace 4s Lipo...eventually I will try out one of the more expensive batteries but I have had great luck with Gens Ace..

Is there anything else I need to look for?

Having the right tires is the most important aspect of getting a car to perform on track. When it comes to tires it is best to go to the tracks where you plan on racing and ask around what tires work best. Nothing more frustrating than spending $50 on tires only to find out they don't work well where you want to race. Then you waste a day at the track, and have to spend another $50 for the right tires. All this being said, the first time you go to the track is going to be an eye opening experience. It is one thing to drive an r/c car around in front of your house or in a dirt lot. It is way more difficult to drive on a track.
