Cool thanks Ill look for M3 soft tires...I use Savox servos in all my Clods and MTs...I was thinking of using the Savox 1258
Great info thanks alot.... Ive been to a few races before but never had the opportunity to race anything..Thanks for the info on the tires...I would like to have a few sets if possible so I can change them if necessary...I cant wait to get it
Having the right tires is the most important aspect of getting a car to perform on track. When it comes to tires it is best to go to the tracks where you plan on racing and ask around what tires work best. Nothing more frustrating than spending $50 on tires only to find out they don't work well where you want to race. Then you waste a day at the track, and have to spend another $50 for the right tires. All this being said, the first time you go to the track is going to be an eye opening experience. It is one thing to drive an r/c car around in front of your house or in a dirt lot. It is way more difficult to drive on a track.

Fellow EB48 owners, what setup wold you guys recommend I start with on a high bite wet clay track? We usually run gold bar codes and clay switches, the track has an 80ft straight, and not too many big jumps (indoor). Cornering speed is critical, but I like a smooth buggy that steers with the front tires, not the rear (old eyes and reaction times). Thanks in advance for the guidance.

I was thinking of getting the 1256 because it had more torque than the 1258 and 1257, but the 1258 works well with my MTs and I figured I wouldnt need the extra torque with the Buggy, bein its so light. Ill look into all 3 tho. I havent bought it yet..

The gears are mod 1 pitch which is larger than 32 pitch.
Neither of those motors are suited for use in a 1/8th scale buggy unless you are tying to do a 2s setup (not advised). You need to find something in the 1700 to 2200 range to run 4S. There are some cheaper systems out there by Hobbywing and such.

I have been running the 1256 in my Tekno RC8 for a couple years and it works great. Never had a problems with the gears.

i ran my eb for the first time this weekend.. and the best word i can find for this car is EPIC.. i was extremely blown away.. i ran pretty much a box stock setup. ran pink beans which were slicks. i was able to turn 2-3 more laps than usual. and i cut my lap time down by almost a 3 seconds.. amazing.. its a blast to drive.. drive it hard or drive it soft it does whatever you want it to do.. weight transfer is unlike any other i have drove. cant wait until next time. so i can dial in a few very minor things. buying this buggy was a good move for me. last and final hopefully the wear on parts are just a good as everything else.
