Another mod following shimos SP version. I grind flat spot on the end of both center and main shafts and installed those pulleys in the opposite way ..and i also use the RRR shimo edition belt tensioner to complete the tranformation..

The R4 SP mounts the pulleys this way. So you can always get the SP shafts to do this modification if you don't feel like grinding the original R4 shafts. I also want to add that the carbon fiber on the SP is way way better than the junk they had for the original R4.

I'm also looking for a way to reduce the weight of the pulleys. I did replace both 18T pulleys with the Capricorn Kelvar pulleys from the 801. Not the biggest weight savings but it is something. I also put the Capricorn Kevlar front diff pulley from the C02 on as well.

I'm not sure if they are any stronger. I just don't have enough time on them to tell yet. All I know is that they get dirty easier or just show it more.

I would also like to know if the NT1 axle would fit. Even if the Capricorn would fit. I do know the NT1 light weight brake pulley holder will not fit Kyosho pulleys and since the R4 runs a different tooth count, the NT1 pulley will not work either.
