Nice to see you made it to this thread, alot of very helpful users on here and some ehhh no comment lol......

Everyone treat this guy well since he will be the new owner of my sc10 4x4.

Man I'd def. be interested in seeing your chassis once you get it done. Who knows if I ever decide to go back to 4x4 sct I may just hit you up for one ;-)

So been reading thru this thread and looking at some of the upgrade tips and tricks, plus been talking to a few buddies of mine in the DFW area.
#1. VTS Slipper clutch
#2. Chassis Brace
#3. FT shock bodies
#4. Exotek Chassis

What other upgrades do y'all recommend?

Is the Reedy 3500kV motor decent for club racing?
I will be mostly running indoor clay track.

Thanks Lance
It all depends an what level of performance you would like out of the truck. There is plenty of other upgrades available that can make a big difference.

What grade of aluminum are you going to use? Can't wait to see it

You could also make it shorty compatible for the people running 2S shorty packs in series.

I have 6061 and 7075 alum in stock. Will prob go with the 6061 for the first one... Its cheaper and I have alot more of it. The one that will go on my truck will be made from the 7075, It is a tougher alum that leaves a much better finish... @ilan once I get them made you just let me know if you need one I will send it to you...

Exotek basically made an exact copy of the plastic chassis in aluminum. In doing so there is a lot of unnecessary aluminum in it, much more than is needed to maintain its stiffness. I for one would like to see a lighter version of it, mostly eliminating the excess aluminum in the sides. You could make it lighter that way, and gain some chassis space.

I like the weight of it, if anything a touch more. It settles the truck so much, especially on big outdoor tracks.

Of course I want the most out of my truck in ha handling and traction to the ground. How would y'all prioritize the mods to the truck as far as handling and traction on a med to high bite clay track? I just don't know where to start first to see the biggest results..

I ran Hartsons setup off from the rc10 setup database. Only difference was i ran blue pressure points. I have to say it was the best my truck has gone on indoor clay.
As for loose outdoor racing I am having an issue as when I enter a turn its good but seems to hook on all my exits. Every so ofter it feels as if on a long straight if I let off it gets really squirrely and hard to control. I run ft kit yellows 35 ft 25 rear long camber links 2mm inside spacers, mid upper shock location outer lower shock location, 19t front pulley clicker locked, Holeshot tires.

I would buy it if you could make it as light as the stock chassis and choose to add the weights Thrible bonds where you wanted but still have below

I would start with the chassis brace, vts slipper and ft/rr roll bars. Learn the truck first then start looking at these other options. For your track I think these few upgrades will make you very competitive. Spend some of your saved money on wheels.
