Sent mine in on 9/14 and I called to see if it was done....wanted it for a race this weekend...and was told they expect more units in a week or two and mine was not that far on the waiting list.
Hope this helps some!

Toyota Motor Corp. said Wednesday it's recalling some 877,000 RAV4 vehicles in North America to fix a suspension problem that could cause crashes.

LRP/AE should have taken that same stance.....this isn't a voluntary upgrade of a perfectly good product....the replacement board is to fix a BEC problem that could cause electrical failures....

I know this isn't quite the same thing....one is people's safety and lives, the other is an (expensive) toy...but come on...they know it's a design flaw....this upgrade isn't a perfomance upgrade, it's a design flaw fix. Both LRP and AE should have known that if they were going to offer it, EVERYONE was going to take them up on it....because everyone knows that this is an issue....and everyone knows that when they send in a unit for repair, it's a 6 month wait.....so seeing the 2 weeks to swap out a board, it is even more likely that EVERYONE and their cousins are going to be sending in their SXX ESCs....

Yes, they are doing the right thing and offering the free upgrade (recall), and for that I am grateful.

Just sayin....

I sent in 2 ESC's and now run a SP. But that said if they hadn't done this they would have lost the support of me. And I am a 100% AE LRP Reedy racer. I'm back on the privateer team now that they stepped up. On my second week. Thank goodness I have some back up esc's.

ATLEAST someone else is grateful of this fix besides me. It makes me wonder how many people have units that are out of warranty and are still mad at the waiting game.

Talked to the LRP service dept and he said 7 to 10 days till the new boards come in. I do run for LRP and also have to wait. Its not just the consumers that have to wait. They are doing their best to get them updated and sent out.

The recent posts here seem to fall in line with what I found out last week. I called AE and was told my speed control was "looked at" and that new boards were on order, as they exhausted whatever supply they had on hand. Waiting for anything can be a bit frustrating, however, I am pleased that AE is willing to replace the boards at basically no cost so I can't complain. I have been a long-time AE supporter and still feel they are the best in the business, so I can handle whatever wait time they throw at me.

I bought temps to go in their place. Not that I wanted to shell out more coin, but it keeps me racing.

I contacted associated yesterday spoke to aldo he said new shipment of the logic board should arrive in about 1-1/12 weeks. You will get your ESC back however this depends when they got you ESC they are just going down the list so it will be for a while before I get mine back

I look at it this way. Right now AE is stealing from me. Mine were not sent in because they were bad. They were sent in because they lied to me and said they would upgrade them and have them back in two weeks. It has been way over that. Now if I say responded to someone doing computer upgrades on craigslist say and took them my item and the person didnt return it could I not call the police and report the theft. These two escs cost me nearly $500. I mean this is literally the worst thing I have ever seen an rc vendor do. And I started with RC in 1990. The simple fact that their site still doesn't state the fact is beyond unbelievable. Imagine how many people who dont even know about the forums have sent their working ESC in and are getting effed. Now I agree with the earlier post where some one said they should have only offered it to those in need of repair first. I could still be using mine.

To be very clear again here is the link to the site as it is right now. Does this look like somone that cares about their customers? If they did the would pull or edit this. I mean serioulsy how long would it take them to do that like 5 minutes? What a great company.
