Funny, someone started a thread about a belt drive 1/8 scale center gear diff. Maybe some kind of tweak on his idea, but I don't know how you could get it to fit.
But yeah, gear diff is the way to go, but for now I will live with what we have... balls. Great big 4mm balls... I've got big balls, she's got big balls!

Marcus in Texas is the only one I know of doing it. I'm sure he will ship out of the US.

It's October and we owe Germany for giving us the wonderful celebration with suds and wonderful ladies in traditional bier garden attire

I'm pretty sure that at this point you need to buy direct (from RCShox website), but it mentions on there that they ship to almost anywhere in the world-I'm guessing shipping to Germany is not a problem, and hopefully not too expensive (although I don't know what your customs regulations are like).

Not me , slipper pads offer many advantages* over a true 3rd diff or what ever , thus why Ae went with the pads ...

*less wheel spin
*more traction
*better acceleration

And you know this because you finally drove the AE with a C-Diff right? Just wondering if you have tried what you speak of yet.

I only seen one of those things on my track and it did not fair very well...

So after that first impression ?

I'll just pass on trying it out ....

What if I told you that AE will have a C-diff option for the SC10.2 4x4? What if I told you they have already tried multiple designs? What if I told you that this will be a Factory Team option and that team drivers will be using it? Will you still "stick" to your pads? I want a commitment from you, now, that you will never run a C-diff when there is a slipper assembly available for the same chassis/tranny.

Many variables, C-Diff set up wrong with the pins on the leading edge instead of trailing edge of the ball renders the pins useless. Still had 30k oil in the front diff, way wrong.
And then there's the driver.

You don't know until you've tried.

I wouldn't be able to say that warsteiner is a great bier or a bad bier without trying one... that would be silly.

I think we already saw that play out... clutch basket is not needed, AE 2 pad setup is perfect. Until VTS came out.

"What if"

I had only seen someone used one successfully .....

That's all it would take for me to change my mind ...

How many at your track are using it?

Come down to California, I'll show you

using that logic WC, which ironically a lot of former owners of the SC10 4x4 did, first impressions of the vehicle using the original pad setup were less than inspiring.

I agree to a point of course. People who say that drinking there urine tastes great I take their word for it.

Luckily, the RC Shox Center diff is on the opposite end of this argument.
