He could mod the battery hold down. Move the battery forward drill 2 holes in the back of the hold down and bolt a drop down onto that protruding that under the shock tower. If that makes sense at all.? I did it with my T4 running 8000 MAH maxamps for a stock endurance race. I cut about 3/16 of the hold down off to make it even with the shock tower if I remember correctly, it helps to have a broken top plate for a B44.

I have several saddle packs but they are all same height or taller than Team orion 5000. I have a reedy 5100 saddle and its even taller than my reedy 60c stick packs. So i guess the 5200 saddles are thinner.Tried a racers edge saddle and same as carbon pro.

I was trying to do it without modifying anything but I do uderstand what you are saying. I was hoping to do it with stock or factory team parts.

Default Fitting lipos under the carbon shock tower

All you have to do to get taller lipos to fit is to get a dremel and grind some material from under the shock tower, to make it the same as the b4.1 tower.

I did this to mine and it doesn't seem to weaken the tower at all.

I've been running without an issue for about six months.

Cheers

Well, my post got lost in the arguing three pages back so I'll ask again. And my apologies if this has been discussed a dozen times.

I have an old FT B4. Just upgraded with the +8 chassis. Are there any other upgrades I should consider that is part of the B4.1? For that matter, does a list exist that compares the FTB4 to the Worlds FTB4.1?

Thanks guys!

The carbon tower also has different shock mount holes than the plastic. The current carbon tower is older (a hold over from the b4.0) than the current plastic tower. The current plastic tower has a hole further in on the tower than the carbon. The outside 2 holes on the plastic tower match the inner 2 holes on the carbon tower. Most folks prefer the inner hole on the plastic tower, but that is a personal tuning option. It is possible to drill a new hole on the inside of the carbon tower to match the plastic tower. This would give you the same tuning options as the plastic tower plus an extra hole on the outside.

Afaik 0* rear hubs, rear shock tower (see above), v2 slipper, & metric out drives are the only other major changes.

I drilled my carbon rear tower with a 4th inner hole. Well worth it. Makes the rear end more confident and predictable for me.
