Trouble is, I put the body on and it doesn't drive well at all. I have a Pro-line Flo-tek body with Upgrade skins. It is heavy, thus making it handle way less. I have a brand new Flo-tek body I am just going to paint. Hopefully that makes a huge difference.

Anyone else run any of the other after market bodies? And if so, which one and how do you like it?
I ran the flo tek body once, I thought the durability sucked so I went with Jconcepts. They have a couple different Hi Flow bodies. They don't look as cool as the flo tek but it seems to hold up a lot better.

The other sc10 that I'm having trouble with is all over the track with just a little turn on the steering wheel. I'm using the RTR transmitter(AE XP3-SS). Is there something on that transmitter I could adjust to slow down the steering?

My other sc10 4x4 is running the MMP, 1410 and 14t pinion. Within the same amount of running time the 1410 will get warm, but the 550-SL will get blazing hot.
Never played around with the AE transmitter, I pulled the receiver out and put it in a box but besides that the Reedy motors get damn hot. Your 14t pinion is what I always ran on my truck and after 10 min run I'd be around 150 degrees if not hotter. I've pulled some respectable lap times with that stock motor and esc. If you look at Brian Kinwalds under the hood sc10 4x4 there's a little setup pulling out the receiver box and mounting a couple of fans. I've never done it but theres a good chance someone on here has.

I'm thinking of picking one of these up. What esc/motor combo do you guys recommend? I haven't owned an electric car in years.Just need something good for racing and possibly backyard tracks. Any info would help. Thx.

Tekin RX8 and Tekin 4600kv is the most reliable in my opinion!

For me I am using the Speed Passion GT2.0 Pro ESC as its small and does not need a BEC. Lots of bells and wistles too. Can be found pretty cheap as well. I believe the Brushless Hobbies ESC can work too, you will want to ask around about it but it.

No knock on Tekin RX8 though, pretty much the standard just a bit more work to fit.

For motor, using the Tekin Pro 4 4000Kv motor. Depending on your track you may want the higher Kv one, but personally I think this is a good all around motor.

WC has said the Reedy Sonic 550s are good, probably a 4.5 would work well from them.

My truck has been making a lot of clicking noises. I notice a clicking noise when I get on the gas hard out of a corner, and also when going into a corner hard on the brakes. I think coming out of the corners it sounds like the diff, needing to be shimmed. And going into the corner it sounds like the clicker or the belt slipping. Could this be correct? And what could I do to fix these problems? I think my clicker nut is completely tightened down. And I just put a brand new belt on it. It got better but still made the noise.

get diff shim kit from AE. just call or email and they should send you one out for free.

Then, do your diff rebuild. I am not sure but you may need new diff gears, so I would order that too and put them in.

From there, if you still have clicking then look at your clicker.

yeah, I use a BH120 in my sc10 4x4 and a few guys run them at the track in their losi's with 4600 tekins. you dont need to spend $200 on an esc for this truck unless you really like red and black.

honestly I would get the hobbywing 4000/4600 kv 4 pole with a speed passions, bh120 or dualsky esc.

I have the HW 4k motor and a brushless hobbies speed control. I really really like it.

I'm probably going to use more Hobbywing electronics going forward.
