Is 3.0 degrees total rear toe too much?

I am running on a small indoor track wth lots of sharp turns.

I heard of people running 2.5 degrees and liking it, but is that with 0.5 hubs?

Ended up racing Friday night, took first in stock buggy, changed the gearing around and it was fast down the straight and on it on the infield, really happy with the car

3.0 is standard...you only run 2.5 in certain conditions

2.5 deg gives you the illusion of more traction going through a turn but it's actually less, which can be good. It flows smoother so there's no hard 'grab' and square up like you get with more toe. And since you gain that traction while rotating, you gain more corner speed, which translates into forward bite coming out of the turn if you are smooth. It also slides the wheels back ever so slightly too.

What it comes down to is does your car rotate through the turns properly and do you have enough forward bite to clear the hardest jumps (like where there's a short run up). Again this is only when your car is on the right tires. I say this because tires are 90% of your setup

For motors I like the reedy sonics. Granted I have not tried them all, but the reedys feel smooth to me

A fried of mine has his reedy sonic geared at a 72/34 and it hauls. The lrp's usually run hotter so im assuming thats why

Matt I run a x12,I got that gearing from Ron shuur,I normally run 72/31 but Ron told me to try this gearing and boy did it wake up that motor, the I field my car had to much power it was crazy and the straight I was just as fast as everyone else, really happy with this gearing over 72/31

Thanks, good to know. I have heard some going to the 75t spur with luck, but it just seemed backwards to me. Im at a 35 now, might play around a little more with the 72 or maybe even a 69.

What I've noticed most with this gearing is WAY more low end punch without loosing any speed down the straight, felt like a whole new car
