SC10 4x4 Thread
Standard (medium) tire glue is easier to glue with to start out, takes longer to set, gives you more time. Tire glue only like wc said. Rims & tires are too expensive to not use the correct glue on.
Scuff up the channels on the rim that the tire sits into, scotch brite or other.

Also scuff the tire itself along the glue edges.. most tires are still covered in the remains of the stuff they use in the molds to prevent the rubber from sticking to the mold. If you don't take that off, it also keeps the glue from sticking to the rubber. I use a dremel with a sanding drum to lightly roughen up the areas to be glued, works great and I have never had one come off when doing that.

Use rubbing alcohol on a qtip and wipe down the tire and wheel where the 2 surfaces are to meet. Let air dry then glue. Lots of residue on stuff from factories. You can scuff the wheels with sandpaper if you want. Not the rubber tho
Taking the SC 4x4 to it's last race tonite.. Bittersweet moment for me really. This truck has come soo far from where it started, and I hope to send it off with a smile tonite. I Was just doing a pre-race check and discovered my v2 spur was installed backwards prior to last race!!! As a note to folks,,,, make sure the pins trail the balls!!!! Maybe why she was a lil off last time out.. Anyway, would like to thank the good people on this thread. Without the knowledge here I would have never gotten the AE handling so good!!!!!!!
