Depends on how you go about it.
I use a ball end 2mm hex and everything stays in place.
Some dremmel a section out of the belt guide so you can go straight into the pinion screw without needing a ball end hex driver.
Some drill a hole in the bottom of the chassis so you can get a hex driver up to the pinion screw.
Some take the motor out regardless of pinion size if they haven't figured out the above methods.

That would probably be faster than my truck with the tenshock in it.

hight and day but both setups worked pushes more with mip to meny thing to list but way more stable i run on a big track that is smooth try the inside holes on the arms and stand the shocks up more travel but if traction comes up you will roll this is ok if you dont over drive the truck
so gear changes take 1 more screw then normal, but really how often do you change gear
