Any reason why it's like this (904fh/411fh)? Seems sort of lame...
Umm.. sorry for asking, how can I run a transponder in Advance mode then?

A transponder does not communicate with your radio.

So, do you mean a receiver in Advance mode?

Yeah sorry for the poor worded question: Are the rx CH3/CH4 operational in the fastest response setting (Advanced)? For attaching a transponder and glitch buster say. Would be silly if not. Thanks,

Hi guys, is the Eurus FH-SS still worth getting over the new EX-1 KIY?

The Eurus's selling points are its more balanced feel (vs. top heavy feel of the KIY), lighter weight (?), also has 3D trigger / drop down wheel, as many functions as the KIY (?), LiPo / Life ready without mod, almost a Rx cheaper.

Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

I think it's a personal choice, I still prefer the Eurus, but that's my opinion.
Many people have changed over to KIY and love it.

In Advanced mode only channel 1 & 2 are controlled by the Tx.
Channel 3/4 and the battery slot will always provide power but no signal control in this mode.

Thanks for the reply. So I can run a transponder (passive device, no tx signal control needed?), but not a mechanical brake, in CH3 on a Tekno RC EB48? I am correct in my understanding?

No idea about the mech brakes, but you are correct about the transponder. I have run mine on both CH3 and CH4.

Thanks, I guess I can't install on/off lights and frantically rotate Wild Willy's head in ch3/4 then! Cheers,

p.s. any idea if this limitation is 'fixed' in KIY?

By "fixed" I don't understand what you are saying. The advance mode is the fastest response (4.0ms) and only uses two channels since there is less information to be transmitted. High speed response mode would be the same as this is 6.0ms.

If you want to use the 3/4 channels you would have to set the response to normal which is 8.0ms. This response would still require the use of digital servos since analog servo cannot process a signal this fast.

This I believe is true for all the high end transmitters currently on the market including the EX-1 KIY.

How does everyone charge their protek lipo receiver packs since the power and ground are in opposite locations while in the radio?
