I checked battery voltage, connections, antenna lead, and found nothing. The next 2 weekends the symptom gets worse, now it will randomally turn the steering servo about 1/2 way and return to normal position, as I was carrying the buggy to the pit wall, I saw it do this, and on the back straight, at full throttle, it turned straght into the haybales and into another buggy, I've rebinded, and no change. I just got a new spektrum mod and rec. fresh battery, bind, and as the buggy is sitting on the box, you can heard the throttle servo chatter, some call this the servo finding home position. I have 2 Hitec 7955tg's in the buggy, if you put your hand on the servo horn, you can feel the horn move very little, maybe 1 mm. I've change out throttle servo, and the same, even when the buggy is on the ground, you can hear the servo, I'm not sure where to go from here, anybody have any ideas?
I'm assuming that you are using the EX-10 Helios and no the EX-10 Eurus?

Try performing the function Adjust VR to start with. If you can't finish this function then you will have to send in your Tx for service as the pot (steering or throttle) may be bad.

If you can finish this function and still have problems, then it's hard to say if it is the servos or your spektrum brand system. Check the pins on the transmitter where the module plugs into. Make sure that they are not lose (move) or damaged. If they are then you will have to send the Tx in for service.

If everything checks out ok, then pull the receiver and the rest of the electronics out of the car and see if you get the same problem. I would start from there and change out one thing at a time.

If you pull the electronics out of the car and there is no problem, then you might have the servo lead wires or battery wires crossing over your Rx antenna and canceling out the signal. In this case, re-route your wires so they do not cross over the antenna wire for the Rx.

Robert,
Thanks for the info, yes it is a Helios, both Hitecs are brand new (less than 3 races old) the Spektrum mod and rec is 1 day old.
I've cleaned the pins for the module, with acholol, just rechecked the wiring, and downloaded the manual soI cango through the VR function.
We have a full weekend of racing this weekend, and just borrowed a M11x, I'll go through it during the week, but thanks again, and I'll keep you posted

I think I may change to KO Propo EX-10 Eurus from Futaba 3PK.
Wish me luck

Finally finished reading this entire forum thread (whew 3 days).
This is what I have gathered:

the radio is from side to side - 8", top to bottom - 9 7/8"
from module to face of steering wheel 5 3/4" ( this is with a little ang. to it)
= which translates to 200 x 250 x 150.

cases:
Speedmind bag or case (speed mind?)
Vanguard VGP 13s case
Vanguard VGP Universal Series Mid-Size case
Pelican 1450 case
4PK hard case
Seahorse Hurricane SE-540 CaseSeahorse SE-540 case
Common Sense High Quality Aluminum Case

batteries:
****> reverse polarity on lipo connection (check battery holder sticker)
cell battery holder that comes with the radio is 30mm x 30mm x 107mm
Reedy 2400mAh 11.1V LIPO
ProTek R/C LiFe Pack (9.9V/2100mAh)
===========================================

Anything I am missing?

Please add or comment to the list for other users.

John,

That pretty much sums up 52 pages of specifications.

Love my Eurus.

I have been playing with this for sometime now. But unless you have the connector you will just have to adjust each tone by hand. I don't have the connector so I have been doing it manually. If you can read music its not too much trouble.

Default Eurus wheel scroll direction seems backwards to me

Guys/Ko Propo staff,

Is is just me, or does the scroll action of the "jog dial" wheel (once you get past the main 4 menu options) seem reversed? When I want to go down in a menu selection, I scroll clockwise, but that's now how it's designed--the logic seems to indicate that you are scrolling the list, not the selector arrow, so it's opposite.

This is the only thing (other than a rather thin, non-discriptive manual) that I don't like about this Eurus. In fact, it's been driving me nuts. Maybe I'm so old and used to stuff working a certain way, my deteriorated brain can't deal with the change--it's as if I was handed a radio and was told the pulling the trigger is now the brake, pushing it is the accelerator--my brain would pop a fuse!

So--is there a way to program this--or a way to reverse the wires inside the remote (if any) to change the way this functions?

Thanks,
Keoni

Yes, don't charge your NiMH or NiCd AA in the radio. The packs of batteries are fine. I would suggest getting a lipo or life pack though. I only have to charge my 2100 11.1V 3S lipo every couple of months. It works great with this radio.

My Eurus Limited edition is coming in at my LHS tomorrow! Got the drop down wheel as well. Coming from a dx3r and I'm very excited! Going to read through this thread and see if I can't figure out something case wise

Love the new radio! Still need to install the dropdown but so far I couldn't happier. Looks killer and got a few compliments at the track as well!
