the 1410 magnits are good to 180-200c not farinhite i would be more woryed about the wires insalation welting but you can smell it when this happen i trie the old 2pole 5700 castle and it had lots of power but it would make a mamba max thurmal in 5 min of hard diving on the street (drifting)

and when checked the motor you could not tuch it so it was over 220f and was starting to smel i know this smel all to well from spl contests the melting point of the plastic is 160-180c
but all this aside the cooler the motor is the more efishent it is and the longer things will last castle makes good stuff and they back it up i just wish they would make a senserd motor i hope this bings things in to prospectiv
tenshock posted a dyno graff of there motor dos any one have it

I've been running a Ballistic 550 4.5t for a long time in my SC10 4x4. On tight tracks it was cool running a 12t but now I'm running big 8th scale tracks in Brazil. I have no top speed on the long straights and my temps have shot up. I am assuming that I am heating due to high RPMS. Should I go up to 14t or 15t? I read that someone was running this high of a pinion witha 4.5t 550 motor. Can someone provide their experience?
Thanks!
Good tip, thanks!
So you just run the allen driver through the hole to get to the set screw, good tip. may give this a look.
Start with lower sized pinion that you have available that is bigger than the 12 and check temps again.
What people are running boost etc with there pro4s? I have been hearing about people doing this, gearing down then making up top end with boost, super charger, etc.

I`m not rubbed one bit Evil , Craig can bash me all he wants ...
At least I made the "show" & will again soon ....
Two of those guys I beat last Tuesday are far better than Craig and his antics ...
Both scored A in the Reedy open class.....

Because you were slow down the straight. Not to mention its just common racing courtesy to let the leader go by when you are running dead last and going a lap down the first time.
What will that prove? You are still slow in a straight line.
got any yet ?
Sure, but that doesn't change the fact you are down on power which is why you don't need a fan.
I have one in the chassis from when I was using the 540 motor (same as the one Cameron ran, thanks Cam!).
How bout some of your results ?
got any yet ?
BTW
How many fan's are you using these days ? LoL !
