why are you putting a shorter link in the rear and long link in the front?

This is just me here, but I would think the 8mm mod from what I have read if you are on loose conditions would really make your vehicle squirrely .

For really fast servos, personally I turn down the EXP I believe thats what its called so its not as fast close to neutral.

Ok, Borack, I am by no means a tuning master. But this is my understanding.

<td>Longer Front</td>
<td>The front rolls and dives more in turns.<br>Lots of steering in mid-corner.<br>Could make the car hook.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Shorter Front</td>
<td>The front feels very stable.<br>A little more turn-in, but less steering in mid-corner.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Longer Rear</td>
<td>More rear traction in turns, and coming out of them.<br>Rear end slide is very progressive, not unpredictable at all.<br>
Make sure that there's enough rear camber though, or you could lose rear traction in turns.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Shorter Rear</td>
<td>The rear feels very stable. It breaks out later and more suddenly, but if it does, the slide is more controllable.<br>
It makes the front dive a little more, which results in more steering, especially when braking.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>More Angled Front</td>
<td>Turn-in is very agressive.<br>The front feels as if it wants to roll less than the rear.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>More Angled Rear</td>
<td>The rear end is rock-solid while turning in. It feels very confident.</td>

sigh, as I re read the text, I am confused lol. I always thought longer links in the front caused more push. And short link in the rear was more traction. Now i am not so sure.

yeah, bad habit. I did some more reading and I think you are right Borak. I have it backwards. Longer links allow for more roll and short links keep it flatter with less camber gain. So I need longer links rear and short front....doh. And the shim help to change the angle and lessen the camber gain. So with the rear are zero shims and longer link, then it should dive in the corners and have more camber gain, thus it should hook up in the corner.

The short links in the front, will give less dive into the corners and the shim with lessen the camber gain and should make the front more forgiving (push). I will need to fix that when i get home.

Speaking of which, at what point (ie- the number of shims under the inner ballstud) do you take off the 8mm riser on the rear hub carrier?
What track conditions do you have? What tires? What compounds? Tread or slick? These all are factors. When traction is way up and your running real sticky tiers then it's mandatory for me. Because I'll roll all over the place. If you have poor traction then it's not as necessary.

I run on wet soft clay. And traction can very from corner to corner. I never traction rolled with the mod, but in all honestly, the corners I did roll in, I should have probably slowed down more before the corner. So I took it off.
