Get the center diff you won't regret it. I did the garodisks and they were definitely an improvement over the stock slipper. I felt the center disk was still night and day better then the stock slipper with the garodisks. 100% of the power goes to the ground.

I highly recommend the center diff, best upgrade I've bought. The center diff makes the truck better, now I just need to make me better.

ok, back from testing the exotek locked front clutch. I was definetly better and trust me, no one here is running on a looser track than I was tonight. Hard pack cover in fluff and small rocks. it was like ice. Eventually they wet the track and I got 1 good pack through the truck.

I ended up with 7k front diff oil 5k rear.
35 wt front and 30 wt rear oil.
8mm mod with 7mm inside
5 mm under the front stud. middle top on shocks and bottoms outside.
Short links front and rear. Yes I went short in the rear with the 8mm mod.
24 mm front and rear ride height.
Yellow sway/yellow spring front
blue sway and blue front springs in the rear.
550 2 pole tekin motor
Brushless hobbies esc no boost or timing.
14/62 gearing
Stick pack
no brace
sniper m3 tires all around.
1oz on each side and in front of the servo.aka like BK.
Motor 145 deg
Esc 110 deg
battery 95 deg
after 11 minutes of running on wet clay.

It drove well. I dont see how I could ever get it to push aside from maybe using a less grip front tire. The exotec definitely worked, lol. I was ballooning the front tires on the straight and the rear stayed flat. Point is, I could lay into the gas on loose or wet and it would go straight, that is new. It still does not drive like i want it to, but it may because I am used to 2wd buggy and stadium truck and these SCT's just driver different. I will try to get the fast guy who has a sc10 4x4 to drive it this weekend. A few guys around my skill level thought it drove really nice. I just gave them confused looks. Maybe i just expect too much, lol.

Yea I was happy with the pro4 4000 until I got an ebuggy and got used to it's speed and power, now the 4x4 feels slow. Also drove someone else's sc104x4 that was bone stock with the 4600 and liked the extra pop. Figured the 4800 with the center diff will be manageable. That is if I can keep it from taking off going down the straight

You ever try running it around the track without the body? May get more of the handling your looking for that way so you can make a good comparison. I like to run mine with just the under body a lot during practice.

no I have new ran it on the track without the body. For some reason I think of that as taboo. lol. The truck is long and narrow compared to buggy or stadium truck. I mean buggies are all a-arms and ST's are as wide as long. So it might be that it is just very different for me. I try to drive it like i do my buggy probably. I did laps on my buggy tonight and i was like way the b4 is soo easy to drive, lol.

Wildcat, put the shocks on the bottom on the inside hole. It will handle much better.

inside rear or front? I tried it on the inside rear, but that was before i put the blue front springs in the rear. Also, I had to put the rear collars allllll the way down to get my ride height. Are you guys useing a spacer between the collar and the spring?

With 15 tooth pinion, center diff and epa @ 100% with 4600 I was beating E-buggy's down the straight.

Your setup is very close to mine, I do love the way the truck is driving while testing, easy to drive and looks really fast, the true test will be a race day as I have to practice on my own, I can't compare to other trucks.

Mantis I'm sure your V2 diff is great, I'm just not going to work on, or spend any more cash on this truck, if it doesn't work next race day I'll park it up.
There seems to be less and less guys running 4X4 here lately, still heaps running SCT in 2 wheel drive, and 1/10 4x4 buggy is huge, I may go back to that. Or get a different make SCT4X4.

Thanks for the report wildcat, it gives me hope because other than the diff issues I love this truck, but often wish I never bought it.

I am also done dumping money into upgrades. I will have the local fast guy give me his input and drive it the best i can. I consider this my goof off car and dont put too much effort into its future. Because in my heart of hearts the 2wd buggy class is what I really like, i just thought the sc 4x4 looked like it might be fun. If i can have fun with it, I will keep it.

I wish 1/10 4x4 buggy was big here, I would like that, but its dead unless there is an event race.

I will try to get my 7 year old to video me this weekend. No idea how that will go, might make people busy.

so my internet was out for a few days and finally fix the truck.. apparently i needed new top shaft spacers 91017.. but my hobby shop didnt have them in stock and i wanted to drive the truck! used the front axle crush tube in replacement 91030.. i just doubled them up and seemed to be the same size.. homie in the hobby shop said it would work in the meantime.. apparently not! that was the only thing ive changed on the truck and should've known! it was slipping so bad.. went down to ae to get new spacers and works perfect now..

Here you go:

I also recommend getting the rcshox garodisc's with them as well...
